I would be livid if this happened to me. I know people make mistakes but I cant help it, I would still be furious.
I would call Wags corporate to let them know about the situation. Not to get anyone in trouble, but just so maybe they could get involved and put measures in place to help prevent this from happening in the future. At the hospital where I work, if something like this happens (which believe me is not uncommon), we have a big meeting where ideas are discussed and new protocols are put in place for prevention. I mean really, even though everything turned out ok, it really is a big deal.
They used to ask me my name and address when I went to pick up a script from there.
Sorry this happened to you, especially when you are already dealing with the h1n1.

This happens so much more than you may think. My mom has gotten 2 perscriptions wrong in the last year alone. Scary isn't it?
I hope your son feels better.
I'm sorry that this happened to you. Unfortunately, this is not uncommon at all. I used to work at a chain pharmacy that is now CVS. Sometimes the fault in this situation is not the pharmacist, or even the technician. We had some pharmacy clerks that seriously lacked reading skills. If you said your name was "Jones", they would go to the "J" section and pull out an RX for "Johnson". I can't tell you how many times this happened. Because of this, I always check my Rx at the counter for any errors.
I also check my original RX written from the Dr. against the directions on the bottle (ex. once a day vs. twice a day). I can't tell you how many times this has been messed up for me. I've even caught errors in my IV while I've been hospitalized!
It's sad that we have to double check the work of a professional, but I don't trust anybody, lol.
