HELP Walgreens dilemma with store coupon

:shrug7:I have only shopped at walgreens twice, so i am not sure about the policy, the first time i went i got some items that received the register rewards, and the gatorades with the store coupon anyway i bought 5 and the coupon was 5/$5 and she scanned the coupon five times. I went in earlier this week and purchased the starbucks originally $6.99 with coupon made it $3.99 the coupon was limit of three, she scanned it once. is that normal?
why would they have a limit of three?
if it should have been scanned then they screwed me $6 dollars and my total after register rewards should have been under 2 dollars for everything.
    im very confused,
any advice aboput these coupons and how they work would be greatly appreciated.

Walgreen's store coupons only have to be scanned once, because the register automatically takes the amount off per item for that coupon. So, it should have automatically taken off the discount for however many you bought. Even if there is a limit, it usually will take off of however many of that item you have. Next time if that is a problem, just do separate transactions so you don't exceed the limit. Each WAGS is different. Here some cashiers will allow you to exceed the limit rather than do several transactions. GOOD LUCK

I don't know why the cashier would have scanned the Gatorade coupon five times, or even why the register would allow it. As the PP stated, the WAG Q (IVC or 7 day Qs), automatically take off the amount for each item purchased. Limits are YMMV, some stores enforce them, some don't, as long as you don't go in and try to clear the shelves.

PPs are correct. WAG roto ad coupons like monthly book IVC, 7dWAGc, activity book IVC, pharmacy booklet IVC, etc need to be scanned once and it takes off discount x the number of items bought.

HOWEVER, I experienced some stores where the limits have been enforced by the register, not the cashier. Since I always have an estimate of my total, I caught it immediately when my total came a lot higher than I expected. The limit was set @ 3, I bought 5 of the item and I only got discount for 3. I had the 2 items taken off and my totals came out right.

I suggest that you have an estimate total of your transaction(s). you will catch any problem immediately if you are charged a lot more than your computation. it avoids doing a return for items that didn't get a discount and you also save time and aggravation.

    HTH.
