Walgreens Managers and Limits. How are yours enforcing it?

LMAO!! That is just TOO good, purp66!!!! I can just imagine him after you left, scratching his head and trying to figure out HOW you managed to 'cheat' Walgreens this time, and trying to think up NEW rules to throw at you next time. Way to go!!!

SO, yesterday was "D" day..

I went into wags, list and coups in hand...

The SM in question saw me, then immediately became SUPER busy in the back room! He never came within ten feet of me. I assume he ran upstairs to watch me on the store monitors lol

Needless to say.. no response from either him OR corporate.

So I shall continue to take advantage of the deals.

The Assistant Manager told me that I couldn't buy that many Razors. But she didn't tell me what the limit was :shrug7: I bought 3 Razors and them 1 week later I came back in to get an RX and then I bought 2 more Razors... she comes walking over asking me how many Razors I need. Its really none of her business.

So to answer you Question, they don't have set limits. It there words "you can buy that many"? So who knows how many that is.. LOL

Well me and my hubby were not allowed to do separate zantac transactions. The manager said they got an email Saturday that it was only 1 transaction per family. What BS! I want to call customer service but I dont think it will do any good. How do they know who lives with me? Should me and my hubby act like strangers when we walk into there stores. lol!

Yes. When he comes near you, elbow him in the groin and scream "Get away from me you pervert!" That should get the point across to the staff that you do not know this man, therefore you can both do a Zantac transaction!

Seriously tho, they can limit you if they want unfortunately. You can try going back at a different time of day tho and see if that works. Don't think Wags has gotten so sophisticated yet that they have facial recognition cameras at the doors

So, this past Saturday night on my way into work I went to Wags and bought the Quaker Instant Oatmeal that was on sale for 2/$5 and wyb $10 of Quaker items you got a $5 RR. With man qs I ended up paying less than $2 for 4 boxes. Awesome deal when your husband uses 4 (YES, you read that correctly---4) packets every time he eats oatmeal. Anyways, the sale was over the next day, there were 25+ boxes on the shelf and I took 8. (To do 2 transactions of 4 boxes each). The AM checked me out the first time, no problems, he complimented me on the good deal I had just done. I explained the deal to him (b/c I know he is a fellow couponer) and then went to check out with the second transaction. He starts to scan the boxes when he suddenly stops and says you can't have this many of the item---I could get in trouble ----and when tell him there are over 25 more on the shelf, he says let me check in the back and if we have more then you can get them. He was gone for about 4 or 5 minutes then comes back and says there were 2 boxes in the back so he will "let me" do these 2 transactions today----I am 99% certain that what he actually did was grab some of the boxes so he could do the deal himself.

for some reason the whole thing plays out in my head and it tickles me.
when I went to check out last time i was in there the cashier called for the manager, and then........
put her hands on my halls and zantac and said I can't let you buy these..........
what?
she said because your husband just bought them............
i still talk about it cause i am still shocked!
I think its personal if u ask me plus this cashier....
I have GIVEN her coupons, she asks me where I get my coupons and such....I think some people are jealous. but the info is out there they just gotta hunt it up and use it like we do.

and his lack of customer service skills. He CALLED ME and left me a message on my phone so I think its very personal.
I'd like to know how many other people they turned away. We are regulars so they know us, I used t think that was a good thing......

I'm not sure but I think when you call CS they just pass it along back to the store manager. So that is most likely why he called you; CS passed it back to him. That's why everyone says work your way up the chain, manager, district manager then CS because if you call CS first it just ends up back at the manager. That is really ridiculous that they wouldn't let you buy something because your hubby did.

What do they think that it's the 1850s and the lil ol women aren't allowed to operate the purse strings??? "You can't have this Zantac, your nice hubby just purchased it for you. All that math and counting and such will hurt your poor female brain..." I want to go visit all these Wags with the uninformed staff just so I can mess with em lol.
