I always thought I was doing very well At Walgreens telling people that I spend less than 5% of retail. About 10 days ago I used all of My RRs to buy something there and decided to start tracking every transaction at Walgreens. The record shows that after starting with no RRs my first purchase was The Dentak floss useing a $1 mfg Q from there and 18 transactions later I have discovered that Walgreens pays me 10% or better to take thing out of the store. I now have $194.xx in product, am holdig $45 in RR and have spent $26 in cash. Since my last post on my page trackin this I have collected anothe $10 in RR and about $60 in product spending only $2 oop. I feel bad telling people it cost me 5% to shop at Walgreens. I sould research my statements better before I open my mouth. They did not beleive me before and I din't think they will believe the new numbers either. I love to shop at Walgreens.

Sorry about the spelling in the previous post, in reviewing it after I posted I think it makes sense.

Do you really use *all* of those bandaids? I very often find myself picking something up that I would get for pennies or free, and putting it back because I already have so many unopened.

Do you use them all? Save them? Donate them? Put them all on the inside of a poster frame and make a picture?

Just curious
Some of the things I buy in mass quantities when there is an excellent sale (oatmeal, liquid hand soap, mouthwash, bodywash) will definitely be used up in my home. Other things I buy like crazy because they make great stocking stuffers and gift bag fillers (bandagess, cough drops, mini-first aid kits, trial size health & beauty products, candles). Your idea of converting stockpile items into art has some appeal, though. If people stare at urinals and call it art, certainly some masterfully arranged toothpaste would attract some attention.

I only have 2 RR right now :( somehow I have not been working wal-greens to my benefit. I have been getting good deals but not like some of you. Congrats to all the goodies.

I believe it was the 10/4 SS or RP had a coupon for buy 1 ricola cough drop and get a bag of the new Mixed berry with Vit C for free. The Ecotrin was in the 10/11 SS or RP and was get $2 off 1 ecotrin asprin product and they also had a coupon for $7 off any two of the item from the OTC line from GSK. I bought 3 bottles of the low dose asprin for $3.48 each and used the $9 in coupons.

I had to laugh when I read this post....I asked myself the same thing as I was picking up the 10th, 11th, and 12th bottle of triaminic, cause I was getting it for free after coupons. I came to the conclusion that with one child who has only missed 1 1/2 days of school in the past 3 years I don't need 12 bottles of triaminic. Even if I got it free. So I called up my sister-in-law who has 4 kids and a husband who is constantly bringing home germs from being a cop and asked her if she wanted some. I have decided that if I can't use all of them within 12 months, I don't need that many. I've also decided that if we would never use it at our house...it doesn't matter if it makes me money to buy it...I'm still not buying it.

Thanks, I would not have looked for the coupon $7/2, and I would have missed that there was a $10/3 ecotrin right next to it!! That will make for some cheap low dose aspirin!! THANKS!!!

Not only was there a B1G1 free coupon but there was also a $0.50 WAlgreens coupon for the Ricola. When you use two of the B1G1 and one of the Wags .50 (one will cover both items) you end up with a $1.00 overage. You need to use the B1G1 first in this tranastion to get the overage. Useing that stratgy, some of the RRs I earned this week along with a few other mm out there I bought 15 newspapers for less than $3 oop. I now am stocked with coupons for the upcoming week at Walgreens. Although I have not yet figured out what to do with all of the beeno and stool softener that will be coming my way. Don't think it will pass as art.
