Well just did my first 'real' couponing trip at wallgreens and ended up getting a bunch of stuff for cheap. First of all, I really need to share my thanks to everyone one this forum.

In two trips I got:
1 Gillette Fusion razor @ 8.99
2 Kotex Pads @ $6/2
- $4/1 Gillette Fusion Razor, Any
- $2/2 Kotex Pads IP
= 2.05 + tax (no RR should have had $4 + $3 RR and $9 oop)
Seems the registers at the store weren't printing the RR coupons, so the cashier had to manually adjust down the prices to account for them. Good thing I had my flyer with me at the time. Apparently the manager was having to run around the store to each register to cancel out transactions once people noticed their RR's didn't print. So no RR's from this transaction, but saved on tax I suppose
Moved onto another store, (since the other wasn't printing RR's)
1 Dove for Men Bodywash @ 5.99
2 Nabisco Ritz @ $1ea
- $1 Dove for Men Product
- $2/2 Nabisco Crackers
= 5.00 + tax oop $6 RR, $1 profit!
so total $7.35 oop (and less tax than I originally planned).
and have $6 in RR to use.
So I don't know that I'll actually end up eating the crackers, just got it mostly because it was free. Guess I can drop it to a food pantry shelter. Which does lead me to the question, what do people do with the MM they buy but don't intend to use?
But overall it was a fun experience. At the first store I was worried when the RR didn't print, but the cashier was quite friendly and helpful. I feel a bit bad about having to make her go through the transaction three times to get it to work. And I just noticed my $6 RR expires 2/22 so I better keep looking for deals.
