Well just did my first 'real' couponing trip at wallgreens and ended up getting a bunch of stuff for cheap. First of all, I really need to share my thanks to everyone one this forum.

In two trips I got:
1 Gillette Fusion razor @ 8.99
2 Kotex Pads @ $6/2
- $4/1 Gillette Fusion Razor, Any
- $2/2 Kotex Pads IP
= 2.05 + tax (no RR should have had $4 + $3 RR and $9 oop)
Seems the registers at the store weren't printing the RR coupons, so the cashier had to manually adjust down the prices to account for them. Good thing I had my flyer with me at the time. Apparently the manager was having to run around the store to each register to cancel out transactions once people noticed their RR's didn't print. So no RR's from this transaction, but saved on tax I suppose

Moved onto another store, (since the other wasn't printing RR's)
1 Dove for Men Bodywash @ 5.99
2 Nabisco Ritz @ $1ea
- $1 Dove for Men Product
- $2/2 Nabisco Crackers
= 5.00 + tax oop $6 RR, $1 profit!

so total $7.35 oop (and less tax than I originally planned).
and have $6 in RR to use.

So I don't know that I'll actually end up eating the crackers, just got it mostly because it was free. Guess I can drop it to a food pantry shelter. Which does lead me to the question, what do people do with the MM they buy but don't intend to use?

But overall it was a fun experience. At the first store I was worried when the RR didn't print, but the cashier was quite friendly and helpful. I feel a bit bad about having to make her go through the transaction three times to get it to work. And I just noticed my $6 RR expires 2/22 so I better keep looking for deals.

Default Wowzers! What a great morning at Wags

I just have to give a shout out to my local store - they were so well stocked this morning AND were unloading more as I was getting the things on my list. They had plenty of everything - an heretofore unheard of event.

Even better than that, the cashier (waving madly at JACK the Magical Cashier Who Really Needs A Raise!!!!) was awesome. He was completely un-flustered by my stack of coupons and RRs. He knew all the ins and outs of how to make the transactions work the best way. He made sure each RR printed that was supposed AND changed the paper roll in the catalina machine when it showed the first sign of running low on paper.

Really, I could not have dreamed up a more perfect experience at Wags than the one I had this morning.

I had a total of 15 back to back transactions at the cosmetics counter for the 15% discount today. I couldn't believe

I got:
6 packages Huggies diapers
3 packages Pull-up underpants
5 Dove Men's body wash
9 Valentine's pencils (fillers)
5 Peanut Butter Cup easter eggs (fillers)
4 Garnier Fructis Shampoo
2 Garnier Fructis Conditioner
2 Garnier Fructis Hairspray
2 Gillette Fusion Razors

I spent $46.56 OOP (including $9.33 in tax UGH) used a bunch of RR I had from Kotex and Huggies from the other day (and the Dove from today), and still have $28 in RR to spend from Huggies and Garnier.

My receipts say my savings was: $127.44
