Walgreens RR Deals NOW 1 PER Customer for Entire Sale?

Wow, I just posted last week about how the only Wags in my town has the employees hoarding all of the good sale items and RR items....and then today I went for the new RR Frees and I wanted to do 3 transactions...Not 6 or 8 ..just three which I think is REASONABLE....I am now being told that I am only allowed 1...all week. I cant come back the next day or even at the end...each customer is only allowed one for the entire sale. I know,... this of course... is ...if they recognize me...which I am sure that they will start to..... but does that sound correct?

I know that they certatinly can enforce one transaction per visit. But....isnt the point of RR to encourage the customers to come back to Walgreens to spend the RR and other money.....I am sooooooo upset..
First they allow the employees to stock up while they are working and clear the shelves before they are ever stocked to the customer and now this.:sad:

I have now shopped Wags for over a year or so and had over 17 in the city I moved from and now I have one..this one store has given me more problems in the past week, than I have ever had...and I dont know what to do...

Call the 800 number on the back of your receipt. Speak to customer service and tell them you wish to have the disctrict manager call you back. Then tell him/her what has been happening.

WAGs doesn't like people who come in and ONLY get the deals. They want people to buy a RR item with a lot of other items and then forget to use the RR.

I live in a rural area and had to drive to WAGs as I did not have one in my town until just recently. I'd shop at two WAGs both about 20 miles from my home in opposite directions. I usually shopped at one or the other on Sunday morning. At first, both were really cool with doing multiple transactions and I could get everything that I wanted in one trip. Over time, one store limited me to one RR transaction per item offered and the other also started cutting me back (apparently the DM set district-wide rules) Since I had to spend my time and gas to get there, it began to be less and less worth it to shop there if I couldn't roll all my RRs in one trip.

Since then a WAGs has opened up 3 minutes from my home. I am trying to stay under the radar so if I want to buy more than one of the same RR item, I buy one in the AM and wait until the shift changes and go back for another. Or I go when it's busy and buy one at the BC and go back to get one at the regular checkout. It's a pain in the butt, I know; but as far as I know that's the only way to get around it.

My WAGs is not coupon UNFRIENDLY - YET (especially since they just opened); but quite frankly, without the Easy Saver Rebates I do not think the WAGs game is nearly as good as it used to be. My CVS (a block away from my WAGs) definitely LOVES my coupons and my OOP is a lot less there, so I tend to shop there more. I think the fact that they both just recently opened and are in competition for regular Rx customers probably doesn't hurt either.

I have about 150 wags around me in about a 1 hour radius. I find that the ones further out in the suburbs limit the deals more than where there are more around. The ones out further limit so more customers can get the deals. The ones where there ius a Wags every other mile in the cities are more in competition with each other and with CVS, so they order more and say "Buy all you want, we'll order more". They let me buy multiples as long as I don't clean out the whole shelf or most of it.

So I only get out to the suburbs when I want really hard to find items or when I am just passing thru.

That is all part of the fast big city life though...competition and who can get more and drive the fastest vs. a more rural / country / suburb mind set of fair & sharing.

The employee ravishing the shelf problem appears to be all over where it is allowed. I haven't seen a pattern for that yet, just here and there.

I do feel your pain, but don't want you to move to my area though!! LOL

Yesterday every Wags I went to was out of the razors. Finally, at the 4th store I found 2 of them. I hardly ever shop at this Wags because the manager is constantly finding fault with my coupons, etc. Anyway, I checked one of the razors out and the manager had to be called because the BA was new and didn't know how to do the Friends and Family discount. The manager wanted to keep my Friends and Family coupon and I told her that it was good for the entire day and since she was out of things I wanted, I would need it for the next Wags I went to. She tries to tell me that she HAS to take it and I held my own with her until she told the BA that she could give it back to me. After checking out the razor, my husband took it to the car while I worked on my second and last order. When I go to checkout, the BA tells me that the manager said that I couldn't get the second razor unless my husband checked it out, because it was limit 1 per person. My husband was standing there next to me, but she INSISTED that he actually hand her the razor, so that the manager would see that she had told us!!!! I lost it at that point. I told her very loudly that because of crap like that, I rarely shop that particular Wags and would not be back! Of course, I'm sure the manager is thrilled that I won't be back in her precious store (which is always empty, probably because of her)!

I went to all 5 stores in my town on Sunday. I only did 2 transactions at the first store - the cashier was really nice until I asked to split the order and then she had an attitude, but usually none of the stores give me a hard time, only that cashier! I too had a hard time finding the razors and breathe right strips at first, but at the last 2 stores I hit the jackpot!

Wow you really make me appreciate my Wags. I had to work Sunday morning so I asked them Saturday afternoon if they would put one of each of the free items back for me to pick after work. I got there at 4 in the afternoon and saw that they still had all of the free items on the shelf so I put them in my cart. The cashier that said she would save them for me was on break. She came out while I was walking around and said she had the items for me at the cosmetic counter and did I still want them since I had them all in my cart. I said sure can you just ring up two separate orders? She did with no hesitation and told me to have a great day. If I have a problem getting the RR they just refund and then re-ring the order until I get them. I can go in as many times in one day or every day of the week. Not all in my area are like this one, but this is the one closest to my house.

If they are going to make a "rule" that you can only do one deal a week then they need to have cards or something to track it. If not it's your word against theirs and isn't the customer always right?

IDK how they can just make up on the fly rules like that. Like the machine is going to know "oh so-n-so is doing 3 deals, I need to make sure another RR doesn't print on her 2nd transaction" Like PP said, if they want to enforce limits on deals, then they need to have a card like CVS, but that doesn't stop anyone from getting another card to do multiple deals....

**Knock on Wood** I haven't had a problem getting a RR when using manf coupons or rolling a RR from one deal into another.

Honestly, I wish wags would go to cards like CVS. We have ONE CVS which is always out of stock. We have 7 Wags that are being cleared by the same people it seems. I wanted to get one of each item this week to bring to a friend in a homless hotel and could only find one tube of toothpaste :sad: I can bring her some things from my own stash - but it was the point.

Ive never done back to back transactions with the same products ( I will do one and use the RR towards the next - different products) Im guessing our stores are allowing this and perhaps its why nothing is left. I like stockpiling as much as the next but there is selling going on in my town and that bugs the snot out of me. I had a Wags mgr not allow me 5 tubs of wipes because the lady ahead of me insisted that he find 40 and that she at least needed 9 to complete a transaction on Craigs list :sad:
