I would love to know these little secrets!lol
Couponers do have thier own language don't they?
Karla | Overages & beeping q's is where the order can come into play. It also depends on your area as with my local stores they have to ring Wags q's first then MQ's and we do not have any choice, otherwise they void your order and start over. In other areas people post you can give them in a certain order to get overages and get more non-beeping q's.
The only example that comes to mind was the Garnier, 2.00 IVC and 1.00 MQ the Garnier was 2.99 so all the MQ's beeped (2.99 -2.00 IVC = .99) and some stores would not allow you the overage of -.01 and would not change the value of the MQ to .99. The MQ on the Garnier should not beep if they rang it first (2.99 -1.00 mq = 1.99) because the Wags seem to go through ok. Hope that makes sense. So at my stores one cashier was nice enough to override the price on the Garnier to 3.00 to get the q's to work, another store made me buy 2 Garnier and use only 1 MQ so it cost more money (2.99 + 2.99 -2.00 IVC -2.00 IVC -1.00 MQ = .98 for 2).

| Re: Walgreens ad preview: 9/20-9/26 ad scan in post 2 Yea....I've always handed over MQs on top and Walgreens Qs on bottom...then Register Rewards. I've done this because this is what I read in some forum post here. Was never sure why...but it seems to work so I don't knock it. Fortunately, my Walgreens usually just enters the coupons in the order i hand them to them. Though just the other day, at a different Walgreens, the checkout clerk said that she must ring up the register rewards first. Wasn't a big deal but I needed to do some quick math in my head to figure out how much in register rewards to give her and still be able to use my coupons. Math was never my strongpoint, especially on the fly but it all worked out ok....no beeps and I didn't hand over too much in register rewards that I couldn't use my coupons.
That's the most frustrating part of Walgreens....I try to work out scenarios at home so I can maximize my savings and minimize my OOP...but I get there are they are always out of stock of something...so I end up walking around for 5 minutes with my coupons and register rewards and do math in my head so as to ensure I spend enough to use register rewards, use all my coupons and keep the item to coupon ratio right (with fillers if needed). It makes shopping at Rite Aid a walk in the park....as I don't have that headache. |

Tuf Garbage Bags, GDA TOTAL: $.98/2 SALE: $2.99 30-36 ct for 13 gal. MQ: None MATH: ($2.99 * 2) - ($5 RR from Triaminic deal wk of 9/13) = $0.98 for 2

It does get frustrating when your scenarios get messed up. I always carry a pen, paper and calculator in my binder for this reason. O and scissors. Never know when you'll need to cut out a q lol.
