Walgreens RR rumor, anybody heard this

I was shopping today and checked out at the Photo lab register. I had 2 transactions and the cashier was great. However, he said that Walgreens is either going to or is thinking about changing their registers so that no matter who the mfg. of the RR is, if you pay with a RR (any RR) another won't print. Has anyone else heard of this?

Hevn't heard but I certainly hope that is not the case. That is one of the only reasons I shop there...love to roll those RR's!

NO but I haven't been to Walgreens in a month or more .Its to hard to figure things out there.

They won't do this if they want to stay competitive with CVS. If they do that, I'll be done with WAGs.

Clipper, I sure hope you're right. I don't shop there often but when I do, I love to roll their RR's a few times.

I hope they do change the registers to do that. I hope they do it and their profits plummet. Wags is the worst store around here. And there is one on every corner. I can't stand them and their horrendous customer service.

I went there today and they said I couldn't use a RR with coupons. My coupons went through just fine. I bought 4 peanut butters and 4 ragus. I had 2 coupons for each and I was going to use the RR that I got for the Vitamin Shampoo and it just kept beeping and she said she couldn't use it because I had used coupons. So I guess we can't use coupons with RRs anymore.


Come to think about it, I think I was supposed to hand her the RR first. :shrug7:

That's what I did wrong.

Hey Milettem,

Were your Ragu and Skippy coupons the ones that were $.XX/2 ? If so, each one of the coupons you used attached to TWO items each. Therefore, since you only had eight items (and four coupons plus one RR), you had more Manufacturer Coupons (since the RR counts as a manu coupon) than items.

2 - $.XX/2 Skippy MQ's would attach to the 4 Skippy's
2 - $.XX/2 Ragu MQ's would attach to the 4 Ragu's
1 - $4 RR then has no item to attach itself to

If you would have added a small filler to your order, the RR would have went through just fine.

You just needed 9 items to use all your coupons/RR with.
