HELP Walgreens 8oz Desitin for $7.73

I'm new to Walgreens and register rewards. I'm also going to be a new mom. Is it a good deal to get 8oz of Desitin for $7.73? I can do this with various coupons. If I do the Colgate deal I'll get 2 tubes of toothpaste for $1.50 but I don't know if that is worth it. Do you all know of any way to lower these prices any more? I'm only 23 weeks but I'm really trying to stock up. I don't desparately need toothpaste, I'm just trying to gauge deals.

I wouldn't stock up too much on things like Desitin. I think I have used 2 tubes in the last 2.5 years/2 kids.

Now gas drops, those I needed a ton of. The store brand usually ends up being the cheapest.

I personally would never pay for toothpaste and I think you'll find most people on here will say the same. Free toothpaste deals happen all the time so I would say if you wait another week or two it'll be free somewhere.

As for the desitin, I'm inclined to say that seems like too much but I haven't bought that in a while so I don't know for sure. I'm sure someone else can give you guidance there.

I wouldn't buy desitin. Walgreens brand diaper creme is much cheaper, just as good, and you can buy it with RR's. I personally use a lot of diaper creme for my DD2 (and DD1 when she was in diapers), but I use it more as a preventative - they have never had any problems. I put it on every night, so I use a lot. You can also put it on your nose and ears to prevent sunburn when at the pool.

If you nesting and looking to things to buy with RR think about a baby nail trimmer, baby tyleonel (I know I spelled wrong), and a baby thermometer. All babies are going to need them these.

I would hate to have that much Destin and then have a child break out with it. My favorite diaper cream was Burt's Bee's BTW.

I bought pedilitye when expecting my older DS because that what "What to Expect said?" Now two kids and nearly 8 years later a yet to give a child any pediltye (I really never had a pukey child that was real small or that didn't stay hydrated just fine with water or juice).

With my two kids...I've used maybe half of a small tube for each of them! The hospital gave me enough samples that I probably didn't even need to buy a tube though...I just get annoyed with little sample packets sometimes! That seems like a lot of money for diaper cream...but I think the one time I bought it, it was on clearance for a couple dollars at CVS and I had a coupon!! That's also "a lot of money" for toothpaste...unless you really need some right now...I'd check into the future ads to see if better deals are coming up!

I agree with the baby gas drops...that and baby Tylenol or Motrin (the store-brand versions!) are good things to have a little stock of!!

I know your question has pretty much been answered but wait til the baby is born for diaper cream. At my hospital you got a take home bag with formula samples, lotion, etc. and they had a q in there for FREE A&D full size tube! That tube worked for all the tiny diaper rashes. Now when she got this awful yeast rash we used the Desitin extra strength but you can get it at Walmart for like $4 and there are $1qs out for it frequently. But those tubes are both mostly full and my "baby" is now already a year old  You can never have enough wipes tho, we go thru a ton

O and never pay for toothpaste! It was one of my first free deals when I started. I only buy now if it's a MM

Desitin never worked on my son. Doctor gave me free samples of Butt Paste (yep that's the name) the stuff is magic! And free! He's 6 yrs old and I still have a couple tubes of it.
