Re: Official Walgreen's Coupon FAQ It depends how it is programmed.
Some b1g1 sale items scan as : 1st item : 1/2 the regular price, 2nd item 1/2 the regular price.
Others scan : first item at full regular price and the second scanns at 0.00
Weirder still...
Buy1G2 Free sales (there is something in this weeks ad that scans this way, as do most of the school supply deals that were b1g2free)
First item scans at regular price
Second item scans at regular price
3rd item scans at: minus the second item's price...
making it easy for inventory control but confusing to read the receipt.
I would say overall though the answer would be yes.
We had a situation w/ an employee last week purchasing a b1g1 deal...
and there was a store coupon in one of the booklets available this month for xx off
well we scanned one item...regular price, 2nd item went in at zero and then when they scanned the store coupon (from booklet) it automatically adjusted to deduct 2 X that coupon amount so she actually went negative...she didnt' try to go negative, did she do anything wrong? nope. She didn't even use a manufacturer coupon...only her discount, bought a b1g1 item and used the available store coupon.
So I would say if the store coupons automatically do that then why would it not be okay to use an another manufacturer coupon too?
but for me, being an employee...there is no way I would. I think they solved the problem by voiding her order and adjusting the price to the amount it would be minus the store coupon ONCE...and just wrote on the void what they did and why. CYA baby!
Loss prevention is not a happy group of campers to deal with even when you've done absolutely nothing wrong from what I hear. |
