Re: Walgreens Ad Preview 5/31-6/6 (full ad scan) Every time a MM deal comes up on a meter this topic of what's morally right is brought up. Let people make up their own minds and live accordingly to what their own conscious tells them is OK to do!
I had gotten meters one time and donated them to the American Red Cross Disaster Relief fund. They were very appreciative to get them. Yes, I "bought" them for the overage they produced to help me afford things our family needed. Horrible, I know. But tell disaster victims it wasn't fair that they got a free meter that some one some where donated and see if they don't disagree with you. I doubt they would care that the person who donated the meter made a few bucks to take home a jug of milk to their family. - Or...whatever. If they do have a problem with it they don't have to take the meter.
Another time there was a lady behind me in line that noticed I got two meters for free. She said she wished she had a couple of those coupons because she and her mom both needed a new meter. I told her I didn't need the meters that bad and handed her the bag. She thanked me profusely, hugged me, and almost cried. I feel NO guilt in that whatsoever!
And, I will be getting a couple of these again this time... hopefully. I do not have diabetes but my brother and sister do. I'll get the extra $ for "buying" them. Bro and sis get the meters to use. I use the free $ to buy laundry detergent for my 75 yo. mom that is a widow on a fixed income. Win/win/win.
I'm sure some will find fault with me getting them to do this plan as well. That's just too bad.
It's possible that some will get these meters only for the cash and toss the meters in the trash. While I personally don't like to think anyone would do this, I also don't thinks it's my business to pass judgment. You just never know what others situations are.
