Default Walgreens Policy on returns involving coupons?

Anybody know the policy on returning an item to Walgreens when it was purchased with a coupon? I bought a few too many of a product and now my DH has decided he doesn't like them. Its a man specific product, so our 18 month old won't be needing them soon...

I have looked all over, including in the FAQ section...help please!

I have been told by my step nephew and neice who are both WAG store managers that they will give you full price for the item since they will get the coupon reimbursement from the manufacturer. But then again, each WAG makes up their own rules so I hope it works out for you.

This is really up to each individual store. I have had some give me back the full purchase price. By the end of the day you bought the item, they had already processed the coupon out of the register and to corporate for payment. There is no way to get it back. They certainly shouldn't take the money for the q from the manufacturer and then not give it back to you when you return the item.

There is also nothing on the receipt that shows which item the coupon was for. Every wags is different unfortunately. I'd just return it and not mention the coupon and see what happens. It's not like you're trying to take money from them. You did pay that much, just partly with cash and partly with a coupon that they redeem for cash.

Our stores (in MO) refund you the full price of the items. Just as stated above, they get the money from the coupons already so it would be irrational to deduct it from what you get back.

They have you fill out a short form with your name and address tho; probably to make sure no one is making this a regular habit.

Weird ours didn't do that for a return! I had to do a return on a q item recently and I got my full price back, manager didn't even ask about qs (and she knows I use them) So I'd just return and not even mention the qs, and you should get the full price back either way :smile77:

Sometimes when they scan the code at the top of your receipt if there were only a few items on the receipt the register won't allow the full refund because it knows that a Q was used on that item and it will beep. Sometimes it also goes thru without a hitch. I've had it go both ways.

The manager had to refund me for an item the other day that I used a coupon for and he gave me back the full amount and then said aw you get your coupon money back to because I legally cannot keep that as I get reimbursed for it. We were trying to see if an item would print a rr because we were both confused as to whether is was running the rr all month. It didnt print .. lol

Odd. The return I did every single item on the receipt had a q, and I had no problems at all :shrug7: I am the world's luckiest qer

really, your due the full price because u used ur coupon, its already gone..they get paid for it.
problem is there are those that do this as a way to make money, so of course that makes it harder on everyone. There will be managers that will only give you the amount minus coupon, or some that seem they are just plan suspicious of you for even trying to make a return.I might not mind having to take partial credit for the return but now RR are included and I wont give up my value on those.
it may nor may not be worth it to try and return. I sucked up a few mispurchases (gave as gifts, donated, or sold at garage sales) for the greater good of my shopping. others have no issues.
