Thumbs Down Walgreens Swiffer RR cheated me!

Just wanted to let everyone know what happened today. I stopped in to pick up the Swiffer items for the $25/$6RR program. Here's what I purchased:

    (1) Swiffer WetJet $18.00
    (1) Mr. Clean Magic Eraser $2.50
    (1) Swiffer WJ refill $4.00
    (1) DF Yogurt Raisins, clearanced to $0.25

    I used the following coupons:

$10 RR from Pepto purchase (wyb 3)
    $5 Swiffer WJ coupon
    .50 Swiffer WJ refill coupon
    .75 Mr. Clean coupon

Sooooo, the subtotal was $8.50 before tax, $10.22 after tax. The RR that printed was for $2 NOT $6. Has anyone else had this happen? Does it state somewhere that you can't use coupons to be eligible for the RR? Should I point it out and ask for the difference?

And to make matters worse, the RR printer ATE the RR! :hectic1:The paper jammed and made a mess of the bar code, so it wouldn't scan. When the cashier asked the manager what she should do, he responded with, "Is it just another coupon? Forget about it." OMG! I was in shock! She then ignored him and another cashier came up front. They then decided to refund me my $ and coupons and move to another register to try it again. NOW, I'm greatful that the cashiers, although frustrated were able to figure out what to do, BUT I'm livid about the comment the manager made. He was irritated because I was using coupons to BUY things in HIS store! That's like saying, no don't spend $ here, you annoy me. Whatev'!

My husband says that I only create these problems for myself because I use coupon/RR's etc. I don't think so! Forget the Fed's, it's a coupon police conspiracy!

Any thoughts on reporting this incident to corp? ~ Jenn

Looks like you didn't reach the $25... your whole transaction before coupons was only $24.75.

Your total for the Swiffer/Mr Clean items was $24.50 instead of the required $25 so your purchase didn't qualify for the $6 RR only the $2 RR.

BARNICLES! I MISSED THAT??? THANKS FOR POINTING OUT THE OBVIOUS TO THE BLIND!
    LOL,
    JENN

PS: I know why I was thinking the purchase was eligible for the $6 now. I had originally intended to buy the Cascade Rinse agent (about $3.99), only my store doesn't carry it. Had to abort original plan and redirect with a toddler "helping" me. LOL....I gotta get a babysitter!

What was your "Pepto purchase"? Pepto-Bismol? Isn't that a P&G product like Swiffer is? Would you have gotten that RR anyway?

    **Just reread your post--saw you got a $2 RR...nevermind!**

I did this on sunday machine was down, had transaction voided.
Did it 5 times buying 7 refills at $4.00 minus the $2 q's from the kmart P&G page.
came to $28 minus $14 q's minus $6 rr and I plan on doing the $10 debit card rebates. We come out about free if you figure in the 7% tax. Did it once with the regular swiffer starter($10) and 5 wipes($20). 6 Items x $2 q's =$12 minus $6 rr and $10 debit card makes it around $4 with tax.

Information taken directly from the Announcement posted by Queenofthehivemomof5:

Please do not post about "rolling" the P&G Catalina coupon on more P&G products.
Many stores are running Catalina & Register Reward (RR) promotions this week and I would like to remind our members to please read the small print on these Catalina coupons. If the Catalina coupons say something to the effect about "Not valid on P&G products" we ask that all members refrain from posting about rolling these Catalina coupons onto more P&G products.

Rolling means that you purchase items that result in a Catalina coupon and you take that Catalina coupon and use it on your next order of products and receive another of the same kind of Catalina coupon.

Again... we are asking that you refrain from posting about rolling the P&G Catalina coupons if the wording on the Catalina's prohibit the use. Even if your cashier or store manager gives you the OK just keep that to yourself. We want to encourage use of the promotions as outlined by the wording on the coupon.

    Thank you,
    Heidi

P.S. - Posts that discuss rolling the P&G Catalina coupons are subject to the warning & infraction system. We hate to do it... so please don't post about it.
