Walgreens Out of Tooth Paste but Happy with the outcome!

I just had to come on to give a way to go to the Manager at my local WAGs. I stopped by on my way home last night to get the Colgate Sensitive TP that had the RR making it free after RR. They were out on the shelf so I asked my favorite cashier who was stocking shelves if they were completely out or if they might have some in the back. She wasn't sure so she went to look. They just received a large shipment of product in and were in the process of putting it away. The manager walked past so the cashier asked him if there was anything they could do for me about it since they were out on the shelf and there wasn't any in the back. After he looked at the shelf tag and then I had the cashier look in the bins just in case the manager said he would take care of it and dissapeared for a minute.

He came back out with a raincheck form and wrote out a raincheck for me for a free tube of TP. That will be even a better deal for me then the RR since at a sale price of free that means no Sales Tax on the retail price depending on how they ring it up when I go back later. I am really starting to like the employees at my WAGs. I might stop by at another WAGs though to see if they have any.......or.....NatnNatsMommy did you buy it all yet(not sure if she shops there but it would be extra local for her)? Hehehehehe.

Glad you had a good experience there at wags. I have one store that's kind of a pain but the other one is pretty good.

Wow, that's a nice experience! When I asked for a raincheck for the Nivea bodywash they wouldn't make one out for the sale price even though I said I was not interested in the RR, I just want to have the sale price for a later date.

It's rare to get a RC for the sale price less the RR but it's certainly nice when it happens. I asked my WAGs mgr today since they've been out of the Listerine Total Care all week (since even before the sale started Sun morning)....he politely told me he'd be glad to give me a RC for the 2/$9 price or substitute out something else but I really wanted the Listerine Total Care (that was my $2/1 coupon) so I thanked him for the offer but declined. I did make a point to let him know they were out of stock since before the sale so he knew that they need to better plan for sales. I'm not a big fan of the way I am treated at some WAGs but he was polite and tried to make it work for me. I'd certainly love if I got a RC for the post-RR price but I understand that when they do that, they don't get refunded the amount of the RR.
