Walgreens - Cashier Keeping IVC Q?

I went this morning on my very first trip using an IVC out of the coloring book (on Huggies). The cashier only applied the IVC to one package (I was buying 3) and insisted on keeping the IVC.

I thought the IVC should apply to each item I was purchasing that applied and that I got to keep the IVC afterward?

Since I'm new at this, I didn't question her about it but now I'm wondering if I should go back into the store and ask for a price adjustment and my IVC back... ???

The Activity Book ivcs are a special type of IVC. I know that in my area, they always say they need to keep them because they aren't programmed correctly into the system and have to be manually entered. The cashiers have to keep the Q in the cash drawer so that their $$ comes out right.

I used the J&J yesterday, it went through with no problem, took it off the correct items all at once just like the ESR IVCs and I was able to keep the coupon. This was my first experience with one from a coloring book so maybe it varies from store to store.

I used the IVC from the coloring book for the Johnson's deal last week.The cashier kept the Q but I got $6 off not just 1... it doesn't have a limit on it so I think that's fair.

I'm hoping that they don't keep the Huggies Q because then I will only be able to do the deal once! I just FINALLY found the coloring book so it was my 1st time using those IVCs. I was also wondering what the protocol was because I was sad she kept my Q!!
