Walgreens Different Fructis Deal Going?

I went to my store this morning and picked up 4 bottles of fructis along with some other things (huggies, total, etc).

My $1/1 Qs went through ok, but when the cashier tried to scan the $2 ESQ it would not take it. The register said something like "not on file". She called a manager, who didn't even bother to come help.

I let it go since I had a growing line behind me and both my babies with me. I left thinking they owed me $8, but when I got home I realized the Fructis rang up as 2/$3, so I maybe that's why it wouldn't take the ESQ.

Any advice on how to make this deal work? I'm thinking about going back in when the manager who actually cares is around. .50 after Q is a decent price, but I tend to make it a rule not to pay for shampoo anymore. I actually really like fructis too, so I'd like to grab some more if I could.

I was able to get mine for $.99 each, but at one of the Wags I went to, there was a tag in front of some (and right next to the $.99 tag) that said either $2/7 or $3/7. I asked my friend, who had been there just before me, if they still all rang up as $.99, and sure enough they did. But confusing to have multiple different sales tags there!

Hope someone else has some insight to help figure out what happened and why your sale was different.

were they perhaps on clearance? that would make the difference. Some of the items I attempted to purchase ( serum) were not included in the sale... so the esc did not work on them. I did not catch but the wonderful cosmetic counter lady that I Love ( not the mean one) was there and she caught it!

OP of this thread.....sounds to me like the IVC is not working in your store, the manager can fix this if he knows how.

The store that it is ringing 99¢ at........they may have overrode the price in the system and are having it ring 99¢ if the IVC isn't working

At one of the Walgreens I went to today, the GF shampoos rang up as 2/$3.
So, I bought four for a total of $6, used four $1/1 coupons, and then handed over the ESQ coupon. The ESQ took off $6, so the $4 from my man. coupons went towards all the dove I was buying. I didn't even notice until I got home and tried to figure out why my OOP wasn't more than $10 so I could use my RR from the Huggies deal.

Perhaps what happened was that you didn't have enough other products to eat up the overage...?

I still paid over $20 oop. I had 4 Fructis, 1 Total, 1 Irish Spring BW, 3 Huggies. Oh well, I'll try again later in the week after I get a few more Qs. All of this had made me glad that I hesitated on ordering a whole case worth.

i had trouble with the GF shampoo as well. I bought got 10 Q's thank goodness. plus 8 I alread had. I've got 9 left. I'm sure it will take all week to find a Wags to take them!!

They swore up and down that the $1/1 Q's I had gotten from a tear pad were only for Dollar General. I told them that was not possible b'c I got them from a Walgreens. (that was almost the truth. I picked them up in a Rite Aid ) But that is besidethe point they were MCR's from a display with no store specified. The colgate rang up fine BTW.

I really hope they fix the GF soon it's my first stockpile purchase and I WANT IT!!!!

My wags told me that the # on the IVC coupon is invalid. My wags was just ringing them up for .99

My Walgreens also said the IVC wasn't working and rang the Garnier up at .99 manually, so I couldn't use the $1 coupons. I must admit I wondered a little after reading about people getting A LOT of shampoo for free in the past, if maybe it was not working because they decided they didn't want it to. I was just picking up a few bottles to donate, but would have liked it for it to be free.

I went to two stores this morning about 2.5mi apart. At one, the IVC worked fine. At the other, the IVC came up "not on file" and they had to take off the Garnier and re-ring it adjusted to .99. If you have a problem at one store, try another!
