Default Walgreens Lost receipt for ESR but....

In my first transaction, I tried to buy the Blink drops for the RR, but I ended up getting the wrong ones. So the manager found the right ones and issued a refund and exchanged the wrong ones for the right ones. Somehow in my 2 little bags and between the 4 blocks from Wags to my house, I lost the original receipt. And I needed it for 2 ESRs!

However, I still had the exchange receipt for the drops. Does anyone know if the RFN# is the same on an original receipt and an exchange receipt?

I figured I had nothing to lose, so I entered the RFN# for the exchange receipt. It seemed to take it - but I don't know, would it validate it right away? I could kick myself! I had my coupon organizer and everything, but I must've dropped it when the manager gave me my change. At least I managed to keep all my RRs.

Like Irish said, it should be a different RFN. However, if it was an exchange and you did 'pay' for a new one, then that item will be okay for the rebate. This receipt shows you purchasing the item.

For example, one month there was one of those "spend $10 get $x.xx back" on Nestle products. One of my bags didn't ring at $2.50, so carefully read the sizes on the sale sign and in the rebate book and realized that it wouldn't work. So I exchanged it for a bag of butterfingers that would work for the rebate. So the original receipt put in my first 3 bags, and the receipt I got for my exchange (which showed a return of the wrong product and a 'purchase' of the correct product) worked for the 4th bag so I got my rebate.

Unfortunately, any other ESR items you purchased on the original receipt will not show up on the exchange receipt, so no rebate

    Hope that helps!
