I am contacting you about an experience that I had while shopping at your store in xxxxxxx Maryland(store #xxxx) I was purchasing a two pack of Bio fusion shampoo/comditioner that was marked $2.99. I was also purchasing 2 bags of starbucks candy and 2 starbucks frappacino drinks. I had one of the January Easy Saver Rebate books. I gave the cashier(dont remember her name) the ESR book and showed her the walgreens coupon for $2.00 off a biofusion shampoo or conditioner. She told me I couldnt use it. I then gave her the coupon for save $6 when you buy 2 starbucks candy. She told me I couldnt use it because I was getting the frappacino drinks for free(one free when you purchase 1 bag of starbucks candy). She went and asked the manager. He said I couldnt do it. I think they were rude and acted like I was trying to steal something or try to get it for free and I wasnt I was simply using the coupons that walgreens has provided for me! I dont expect to go into a store and treated like a criminal. she kept saying in a rude voice you can talk to the manager but he said that is why it wont work. I simply said no thanks I will go down the street to the xxxxxxx store and shop there. I was so embarassed. She kindly said to the people behind me sorry for holding you guys up...but she is always rude to me! I am thinking twice about shopping at Walgreens again. I hope you can contact the store and let them know what happened. Thank you and sorry

Today 1/26/09 I had a bought a Tube of Total toothpaste and received a Register Reward(RR) of $2.00. Red Baron Pizza was on sale for 2for$5 and I had a $1.00 off coupon. I had decided to use this with my RR with this coupon to buy the pizza. The store manager told me that I could use either one but not both. HUH? His explanation was that the RR was a manufacturer coupon. Again, HUH? The RR reads Walgreens and I could not go to another store with it; so would that not make it a STORE COUPON?? Walgreen seems to be going downhill, in my opinion.
I know WAG's q policies are so confusing.
This is the situation where you need a "filler" at WAGs. Since they consider the RRs a manufacturer q, if you want to use one along with a man q on 1 item, you need to throw in a "filler" that you DON'T have a man q for. Say a 10c pencil, or whatever. You need to scope out some really cheap fillers that you might actually use. Sometimes there is a useful grocery item on sale (say a 33 c tomato sauce or whatver) that I pick. Other times you go with the 10c holiday pencil or a clearance item. . .
WAGs policies are much more convoluted than my groceries or CVS, plus my one WAGs has cranky staff, so I now only go to WAGs for insane deals (like the 25c +/- skippy last week) and shop elsewhere for everything else.
Hang in there. It takes some time to learn the rules and to figure out which stores are friendlier than others. . . Good luck.

Don't know if you'll get a response or not, but I did get one when I emailed them about the store clerks that were throwing product over my head to stock the shelves. Yes, they were taking stuff out of a box, throwing it to the guy down the aisle OVER MY HEAD and over my 2 year old's head. Even when I made a snarky comment to them and quickly moved on they didn't have the good sense to even apologize! I had a phone call from the store manager and a gift card the next day. I've made good use of the gift card at a different Walgreens!

okay I dint here back from CS but I DID get a call from the store manager!He said he looked at the receipt from my transaction, and checked out the products. He said I wasnt in the wrong and it should have worked. If it didnt he said the manager on duty should have come up front. He said I was welcone to come in and get the products that I wanted to get and he would make sure it went in. I went there and the cs I hated was there. I asked to speak with the manager and he said what do you want him for? I saidd because he called me at home and TOLD me to ask for him when I got there!!!!! Thats why!
He pushed everything through and the starbuckks deal worked on its own!!!!!! YAY!!! So it sometimes helps to complain! I also said I was made to look like a criminal for using coupons and that I went to abingdon with my coupons with no problem. He said he was sorry for losing a customer and hopes that I shop at that one again.........and apoligized again. YAY!! A happy ending!
