Default Walgreens Card Question: Is it worth it?

Okay, I've searched the forum, but can't find answers, so here are some questions I have. Any help is appreciated!

First, if you are a current WCard holder, have you saved back the $20 fee? If so, how long did it take on average?

Also, are things like the BioInfusion shampoo, currently a hot deal, included in the 10% savings?

Next, if you have to enter a receipt on the website because your WCard didn't scan, or you hadn't gotten it yet, did that affect your entering the same receipt RFN number to do a Walgreens rebate?

Please feel free to post any info you think might be helpful, and maybe we can "sticky" this post, or move it into the FAQ thread.

Thanks in advance! I know you all are always so helpful!

if you purchase alot of Walgreen brand items, it is definately worth it.
I buy alot of Walgreen brand vitamins for my dh so the extra 10% does add up, along with sometimes Walgreen brand items are part of the ESR.
I don't think the shampoo is part of the W brand items, but I am not sure as I didn't buy any of those.

I have never had any trouble putting in my RFN number for my rebates when I enter it in the system for my W brand purchases.

Are you referring to the Walgreen's rebate card or the gift card for buying X amount of Walgreen's brand products?

The Walgreen's rebate card is well worth the effort, so easy to reload your rebates on every month plus the 10% extra. I perfer it over getting the check in the mail.
The Walgreen's brand gift card ...I bought the cough syrup as we use this alot and I am looking forward to spending the extra...between the 2 cards I will have over 20.00 to spend this next month. And for less than 10.00 OOP

I just got the card (it's actually the prescriptions savings card) and it's definitely worth the $20, for me at least. I had a bunch of receipts in a drawer and got over $12 on it the same day it came in the mail...and, now I have another year to save 10% on walgreens brand items. I buy a lot of Walgreens brand diapers, so it's great for me.

I have found it to be worth it as well. When I originally signed up, I had one ds on formula. So between the diapers and formula, I made back my $20 before my card came in the mail.

I enter a lot of my receipts rather than scanning - I like to build up the card rather than just use .35 here or there.

But, I figured out by accident that the $19.99 Electronics Organizer that I purchase for someone as a Christmas gift qualified for the 10%. I wouldn't have even entered that receipt - I used the card to pay for part of my purchase so it automatically added it.

Don't forget that you also get 10% on photo services....

You can also purchase Walgreens gift cards which count towards the 10%. I purchase a Walgreens gift card and then use it to pay for all my purchases. ( Unless i use a rebate card or RR) So I actually get 10 % off of everything. I even used it to purchase the Prescription Saving Card.

If you purchase 200.00 from Walgreens a year with out coupons you would break even.

I you do like I do and buy a Wags gift card and then use it to purchase items it would be much less.

    Example I purchase a 50.00 Walgreens gift card. I get 10 % back which equals 5.00

Then if I purchase any Wags Store Brand items I will get an addition 10% back.

Example I purchase 50.00 and 25.00 is in store brand items it is an additional 2.50 back.

Your 10% back is before MQs.

I was asking about the "prescription savings card", which seems to me to be worth it, even if you don't get a prescription. I have alot of receipts saved up, so I hope mine comes in the mail today or tomorrow, so I can start entering the rects. I think I'll have about $10 already.

    Thanks everyone!

If I bought one today, how long ago could I enter receipts from? Sounds like a good deal if you buy a gift card and keep getting the extra 10%. I got mad this month because they sent me a check then add on my GC. I marked on my rebate to add to a card I have, I don't know what happened. Could I take my check and buy a GC or is it $10, $25 set amount?

If you get the "W" card today, then you can enter reciepts from today forward. You got the card today so you are not entitled to any savings from previous purchases.
There is a Wags gift card that is not a set card. I believe the lowest you can put on the card is $5-10 ( can't remember )
