Default Wags Overage?

I have a coupon for $4 off two One-A-Day products. I tried to use it yesterday to buy two of the drink mixes for 1.49 each. The register beeped and the cashier said I couldn't use it because the total of the mixes was less than $4. I did have other purchases, so I wouldn't have had a negative balance. Is this right, or can I use this coupon?

Thanks so much for anyone who can answer my question.

YMMV on that coupon and only 2 of the one a days,
with the total of the 2 only being 2.98, the coupon will beep since the coupon is $4.00, if you had gotten 3 of them which would be over $4.00 the coupon would not have beeped.

Right, buying 3 and using the coupon would have been the way to go (or one of the drinks and some other One-a-Day product as close to $2.51 as possible).

actually I am not positive but I think it would beep even if there were other items totaling up to 4.00, the items would have to be one a day products, or I am pretty sure anyway

I went today and got three of the One A Days and my coupon did not beep. (I also went to the cashier who looked like she didn't care and wanted to go home, so maybe that helped too!)

Thanks so much for your help. I really appreciate it!

Is this a good week to get started with Walgreens shopping? If so can someone give me a good scenario with low OOP . BTW I have no RRs.

Any help would be appreciated.

Here are some scenarios posted by another member: Walgreens - 4/12 to 4/18 Combined Roll
Also, check out the weekly ad threads. We try to keep the deals in one post, so you will know what the good deals are for each week.
Welcome the WAG forum!

Yes, I meant that they should buy 2 One-a-Day products, where the 2nd one was close to $2.51. I had originally suggested buying 3 of the $1.49 items, so I figured it would be obvious (I guess not).

Is it true that if you use the RR before any other Qs that you do not need a filler item?
