Re: Have a Walgreens Question? Ask it here I've looked around and haven't found this question, but then I really wasn't sure how to search effeciently. I hope to not be one of those annoying newbies asking a "tired" question...but...
I went to WG to get a few deals (toothpaste, deoderant and cereal mainly). At the register I did my first transaction with the Colgate toothepaste (4 tubes). On sale for $2.99 w/ $2RR and I had four $1.50 coupons. So, MY math says $2.99 - $2RR = .99 - $1.50 coupon = FREE ($1.49/ea. oop at that time).
But...I only got ONE RR for $2. The manager came and said that only 1 RR would print for a particular item. He told me that if I wanted my RR for each toothpaste I'd have to buy them individually. So I asked him to void the transaction and start over and proceeded to buy each individual toothpaste as 1 transaction. I got all $8 of my RR that way.
Then I wanted do another transaction to use those RR to buy 4 Dove deodoerants (on sale $1.99. I had 4 small Qs, but I can't remember what they were now) and 2 boxes of Kellog's cereal (on sale $1.99. Q = $1.50/2). I had coupons for all of these and my total came to $8 and something. The manager told me I couldn't use my RR on these because RR were manufacturer coupons (it says so at the top of the RR)and I had already applied manufacturer coupons to these purchases by using the deoderant and cereal coupons from my local paper. He told me that I could only use RR with instore coupons NOT stacked with manufacturer Qs. I tried to disagree with him, but I didn't know what I was doing and he wouldn't budge. I ended up taking back all of my deoderant coupons and using my RR to pay for those at the full $1.99 in store sale price and paid for the cereal seperately OOP.
Needless to say, he wasn't happy with me.
If that makes any sense...can you tell me where I went wrong? |
