Question: Is the Unilever deal good all month, or does it end this week? I have been on a sort of "walgreen's strike" since my last bad experience- now i fear i may have missed out! Do i still have time to collect/buy coupons to use on this deal???

Can you tell me where you usually find the great clearance prices that everyone brags about? I check the clearance section every time I go, but the prices are always terrible (Pantene shampoo for $4.29 - what was the regular price???). Do you usually find the deals in the clearance section or in the aisles? Do I just need to look harder? Thanks!!

The situation is that I purchased 8 twin packs of Bayer Aspirin last Sunday, used 8 $1 coupons, and no RR. Forgot about not receiving the $10 RR and went to the store today. First, I heard from the manager that MQ void the RR and the same line on a call back from someone at the local district office. The person from district told me that manufacturers and Walgreens had set it up that way. I attempted to point out that I had purchased twin packs and I read on the Internet this has caused problems for others. Befor mentioning, I did call catalina, the rep research the issue, called me back to say I was "cheated" and there's a $10 GC being mail in a few weeks.

Supposedly, ever since Wags have done these RR promos, MQ and any RR can't be used on a deal, true or false?

as a rule the office sends markdowns to all stores. After the reset/revision is done the stores then have the option of marking the items down more or leaving them the price they are. Most clearance items start out in the dept they are in, after the reset/revision some stores move it to a "clearance" end, and others move it to the front in a table/cart and blow it out to get rid of it.

false, or I have never had a problem with a RR printing if I use a mfg or a RR, however do keep in mind if you get a RR from pepsi, you can't use that pepsi RR to purchase more pepsi and get another RR.

As Irishlass said, it's all month. However, the sale prices are only good for each week's ad rotation. That's why everyone's going :hectic1: over Skippy and Ragu this week.

I thought so and I even made that point over the phone to the person from the district office. I even called the 800# and found I was back talking to someone in Earth City. I'll do the Pepsi/Frito-Lay deal with MQ at a more "friendly" Wags and hope it goes smoothly.

Thanks for you answer.

If the Unilever deal is good all month, but the Skippy and Ragu sale prices are only good this week, then would purchases after this week using rainchecks for those items also generate the RR? TIA.

I live in southeast Idaho and our weekly ad has only been 8 pages all month instead of the standard 16 page ad everyone else is getting. I emailed Walgreen's about it and a local store manager called and told me that they are part of a new pilot program that Walgreen's is trying. He said that because of tough economic times they are trying to reduce costs by making the ad smaller - which means less work for them. I understand the philosophy behind this program, but I am sad to see all of the deals people are getting across the country that are not available in my area. The store manager told me that Walgreen's is thinking about implementing this program in all of their stores, but for now it only affects the stores that are serviced from the Flagstaff distribution center. Has anyone else heard about this? Does anyone have the smaller ad previews for my area? Thanks.

Walgreens.com - Local Weekly Ad

I wouldn't be surprise if Wags just can't find enough people with the computer/graphic to work for chump change. My local newspaper constantly has an ad looking to hire for these jobs, along with part-time warehouse gigs that pay $8 an hour. Locally, between the ads and booklets "waste" by stores and the overrun that never made it into the newspapers, it's a big drain on those poor folks in Deerfield.

Yes since the RR deal is good all month, if you purchase the items next week with a Raincheck you should get the RR

I do remember reading a while back that Walgreens was going to reduce the size of their ads, however I didn't realize that is was going to reduce them in just part of the country. Sorry  wish I had them to post for ya but I just post what I get that is good in my store.
