That is too lame. I'm sorry to hear about the idiots.
Went to one of my local WG yesterday, and they wouldn't take my Robi or Dimetapp printables because some idiot (or idiots) have been photocopying newspaper coupons and trying to use them.
The cashier told me I couldn't use them because they had been "scanned". What??! I finally asked for a manager and he didn't want to budge either, but I finally convinced him they weren't copied, but that I got them from the manu website. He let me "just this once" use them.
Then the cashier denied my detour Qs. I said forget it just take those off my purchase. He did, but he didn't manage to take them all off, so now I have to go back to get my refund of those. Ugh.

I have a toner printer, a Brother DCP 7020, and you can't tell the difference between a copy and something I print from the internet. They are identical...
SO, if someone, let's say a Walgreens employeewho doesn't like couponers or couponing, wants to deny couponers the deals at their store, they simply have to claim that coupons have been copied. :shrug7:
I wouldn't be so quick to judge couponers harshly, as most I've found on HCW are doing their best to abide by the laws.
JMHO.![]()

This sounds like the WAGS in my area. I quit shopping there after WAGS made it harder for me to shop at WAGS.
I haven't had problems with WAGS, but with WM. They kept saying my qs were copied because they were in black and white.
Sorry you had that experience. It would probably make me not want to go back. Sometimes it's just not worth the hassle... even if it is free.
Luckily the store I went to wasn't my usual WG. So far I've been ok at the other. I certainly won't be going back to that one any time soon!
someone has been copying coupons and trying to pass them off at my local CVS too! grrr on that woman. i know who it is and if i am there at the same time as her she will get an earful!!
With the Wyeth coupons, I often will not cut them out also, so the cashier can see they were printed directly from the manufacture website. I know there is still some trust involved, but I guess it is still something.
