It is official, gift sets at least in the cosmetics department are going to be marked 1/2 OFF at 6am on 12/25/2008. Yes that is CHRISTMAS DAY. This is one day earlier than in the past.
Any last minute shopping before celebrating? To bad my family celebrates Christmas Eve.

does this mean the gift sets will go down to 75% off when the regular stuff does (oh please say yes)

There has been some confusion about the gift sets ringing 50% off on Christmas Day. Official Word from Walgreens now is:
Gift sets will go 50% off on the 26th not the 25th as previously thought.
Gift sets will not go 75% off.
12/25 50% off all red & green
12/26 50% off red and green plus selected gift items including cosmetic gift sets
12/28 75% off all red & green marked down previously on 12/25. Gift items marked down on 12/26 will stay 50% off.

selected gift items include:
All non basic slippers
All non-basic Homedics items
Chia pets, clappers, pen sets
Pre wrapped gifts.

Thats weird I mean are those stores open on Christmas I though everything was closed?

nope all stores are open Christmas Day. 24 hour stores well, they are 24 hour and never close. non 24 hour stores not sure when they open but they close at 6pm. another member posted they open at 7am, but I am not sure as we are a 24 hour store :sad:

Just got an email saying they will open at 9am.
