re: DEAD:Walgreens 1/4-1/10 (Ad Scans Enclosed) Couponnut - I felt just like you when I first started out. I promise it gets easier! Start out small. My very first CVS transaction was for an item that was free after ECB's. It was makeup - I bought just one and had a coupon. I then used those ECB's the next week on another item that was free after ECB's and over time, I gradually rolled my ECB's and began to start seeing it add up. But I was like you when I first started out - I went for everything and just got overwhelmed. As for as Walgreens goes, you might want to try the few items (makeup, Orajel, and something else) that are free after mail-in rebate this week. Just buy those few items, go online, set up an account, and plug in everything to get your rebate. You will be paying out of pocket the first time (but you probably have a coupon for atleast the makeup that is free) and if you chose to get your rebate back in the form of a reloadable gift card - you get an extra 10% back and once you get the gift card in the mail, you can chose to just reload it each month and not have to wait for a check in the mail. The key is to start out small. Don't try to buy everything when you don't have any ECB's (CVS) or Register Rewards (Walgreens) yet - that's when it gets overwhelming. You will get the hang of it, I promise! :) |
