Sorry I admit I lurk alot but don't post much...

I have been learning the ropes and you ladies are amazing....

I have a question about the Hershey's deal

I see the in ad q for 2/$1

I have tons of the bogo coupons

hershey candy bars, GDA (PMFan)
TOTAL: 11c for two
SALE: 2/$1
MQ: bogo insert
AD Q: Page #2
ES Q: - n/a
ESMIR: - n/a
RR: n/a
MATH: .89 x 2 - .89 - .78 = 11c

I can't seem to understand how this works out to 11c for 2....:sad:

Can anyone explain ? please?

What they mean is the candy is regular price of .89 using the bogo it should take off .89 (not the .50 sale price) so 1.00-.89 is .11 for 2 bars.

I'm not 100% sure, but I think the Hershey's bars don't ring up as .89 each at regular price--at least they didn't when I did a similar deal a month or so back. They are .89 if you purchase one & 2/$1.59 if you purchase 2 so they ring up as the first one at .89 & then the second one rings up as .70. The cashier ends up deducting the cheaper .70 one as the BOGO which causes the OOP to be a little higher.

It may be a YMMV as to how they ring up & if the cashier deducts .89 or .70 for the BOGO coupon, but that is how it was at my store. Just something to keep in mind when figuring the deal.

Please enlighten me on "coupon in coloring book" as I have asked about it at the local Walgreens store and they haven't a clue what it is. Thank you tremendously!
After reading other posts I now have a bit more information and will return to Walgreens to check further for this book.

This wasn't such a good deal until Walmart raised their price last week on the Maybelline New York lipstick. There were selling for 4.97 each there making 1 only .97. Now they are up to 5.63 each so the Wag's deal is better. They expire on 1/05/09.
