maybe the new SM has loss prevention on everyone's neck. out of 10 wags I go to only one has loss prevention in all the time, 2 employees were fired for coupons and the others have been warned. LP told the beauty advisor supervisor that only limit on IVCs are to rung up and she should have known better not to let the customer get more than the limit stated per transaction. Needless to say, that store has paranoid employees now and I will not be shopping there. The manager was newly promoted to that store and called LP.

My store wouldn't let me get the full value $1.50 per coupon, they wanted to write .99 on each one and actually wrote on one of my coupons. The girl gets on the phone and in secret code tells a manager, "yes she has 10 boxes, the coupon is for $1.50." then hung up and proceeded to write .99 cents on one. I thought this is "altering" the coupon and told her to stop. Line of people building up behind me, and time to get the kids from school, I tell her I gotta go. On my way out the door I see the accountant/coupon lady and motion her, she rushes by me and says "he'll help you" a manager. I talk to him and he says I can't get the overage, I can only use the coupons for .99 cents or buy them at regular price.

This is a first for me!!! What's going on? It seems lately this staff is really afraid of their SM ( a new manager since July) and now I'm the one who is really being watched because I want some "deals" and stretch my money in the store, but it's money that stays in the store. :frown:

Huh. Maybe that's whats going on in my store that I shop at... loss prevention.

Wednesday evening, my cashier had to call the manager over to do a "special receipt" for me so I could do two P&G rebates... as she was ringing out my purchases, she told me AND the cashier that we can use ONE EACH of the holiday RRs and the regular RRs per transaction... I was like YAY thanks!

Yesterday, I bought three 12 pks coke, 4 chap sticks, a supposedly "free" 8x10 print (free with a code I was emailed earlier that day, ordered online using "free" code, pick-up in store) and a frame... tried to use a $5 holiday rr and a regular $3 rr and it beeped.. cashier handed me the $3 rr back and said "you can only use one RR". UGHHHHHH lol They were really busy so I didn't bother arguing... but it makes me wanna scream!!! lol

When the $2 RR for the coke spit out, he looked at it like he'd never seen one before... I held my hand out for it and said "thank you" lol

On top of it all, I was charged $2.50 for that free 8x10 print, even tho the price sticker on the envelope said "pay in store amount due 0" lol which fyi the picture came out horrid...fuzzy... weird colors.... not even suitable for framing! Won't do THAT again. The original digital was crisp and clear and perfect.

What a nightmare trying to use these holiday rrs before they expire! Ya gotta laugh......

For those who haven't gotten their free Russell Stover yet, I wanted to let you know where I found mine. I searched all the normal aisles - up and down and up and down. Finally, I was in the makeup section and there they were. The store was using them as a way to decorate some of the shelves. Good luck.
