    Default Will not go to our WAGS anymore

    I'm not gonna go to our WAGS branch anymore. Last night, I asked my DH to get some items at WAGS including the Venus razor. Well, he said he didn't have a nice trip there. Aside from the cashier calling the manager coz he had "many" coupons (just a few actually), Well, the RR didn't print either and DH asked about it. The manager or asst manager said it's because he used coupons and told him he can bring back the razor if he doesnt like it. He said he's gonna go home and ask his wife. So when he went home I told him we should just return the razor and the werther's chocos that we mistakenly thought was a moneymaker but ended up costing us. So he returned and he said that asst mngr/mnager stressed him. DH asked for our coupons back because the manager just gave us the money back after coupons and she said no and took his name, telephone number, address. DH didn't like his trip there. My DH doesn't complain much but I know that trip made him feel horrible to the point of saying he doesn't want to go to that branch anymore because she made him feel like he's a criminal. We just don't use coupons for all products we get there coz sometimes, we have to get stuff we need last minute coz DH works at the hospital across WAGS and we don't really make any scenes but we had to return the razor coz I felt like it's not worth it to call catalina and wait for 6-8wks to get the RR. Oh well, they're gonna make money with our coupons and we wont shop there anymore and they will lose our business.

    There's also another rude male asst manager that we had an encounter with before. He had a funny smirk on his face everytime he saw us, wouldn't even say hi back. yuck...

    I just need to rant...

    WOW, sorry you guys had to deal with that- those coupons are yours, and if they return items in a transaction, they should also return your coupons. They do get reimbursed for the coupons, so they are actually kinda stealing from you. I would not have left without my coupons!!! I have not had any severe run-ins with the folks at any of my Wag's (or CVS) so I feel pretty lucky when I hear these horror stories!

    I bought the Venus Embrace razor at my local Walgreens and used a coupon and got the RR. I would have called catalina...they are usually very nice and will look into the matter and send your RR if it does not print at the store. It usually takes a while to get it in the mail, but it does come.

    If you have not returned the razor yet. Call the catalina company. Google Catalina Marketing. I wouldn't even bother going back into the store.

    I don't blame you for not wanting to deal with the whoel Catalina thing - it si pain to wait that long to get your money back + it is a pretty short expiration once you get it.

    I long ago gave up on our local Walgreens, to the point where I have the Ped send any prescriptions to the Rite Aide, even though it is a few blocks further away and doesn't have a drive through (everyone in the Ped's office knows I don't do the Walgreens!). Anyway, after getting my couponing hat on and reading threads, I decided to give Walgreens a try. I figured maybe the lousy attitude is really just the pharmacy, so a couple weeks ago I go in. I had a hard time finding several of the advertised items, but I really went off when I ran into the following:

    The aisles at this particular store are extremely close together (the place is not a very big Walgreens). I've got my 2 year old in the basket and as I make my way down one aisle, I see two employees unloading boxes. One is about 10 feet away from the other and is tossing rolls of paper towels to the other so that they can stock the shelf. I do wonder why they don't just move the box they're unpacking closer, but hey- whatever. I wait a few minutes until they decide to move out of my way. I get between the two of them and am scanning the shelf looking for something when they go back to tossing the stock- this time OVER MY HEAD and MY BABY. Thank God they were only paper towel rolls and wouldn't have killed anyone but I don't think it would have mattered what it was. They were laughing and goofing around and gave no thought to how inappropriate it was. I make a comment to them, (they don't even apologize), and move on.

    When I got home, I wrote to corporate Walgreens (on their website). The next day I had a call from the store manager. He claimed to be completely shocked and admitted to me that usually when he gets these sorts of complaints they turn out to be overblown or he said/she said or whatever. When he asked around about this, they did actually own up to it and even admitted they didn't have the good sense to even apologize. He's holding a $25 gift cert for me to pick up if I'm willing to give them another chance. I'll probably pick it up, but I'll probably find another Walgreens to take it to.

    I have to say I've been in plenty of perfectly acceptable Walgreens over the years (we just moved to this area 2 years ago), but if you're having a problem, complain to the top.

    Not necessarily. I have received RR's from Catalina sometimes as slow as 6-8 weeks, but sometimes as fast as a week. I have gotten some RR's that expire within a week of getting them and some that didn't expire for over a month.

    They have always been very nice to work with...much better than Walgreens has been!

    Ahhh!! But the problem J.Doe is that my Wags WILL NOT refund the value of the coupon nor return the coupon....

    What about that smarty pants?!?!?!?!?!?
