Werid day at Walgreens

Went to do the Venus Embrace deal, used the vocal point coupon and the cat spit out just like it was supposed to, but then the cashier got all pissy and said that it should not print and I should not be allowed to have the $6.00 cat because I used a MQ. What the heck? Just hand over my cat and leave me alone...jeez!
Then he said I could only buy 1 Sure deo. I asked why and he said they needed to keep the shelves full for other customers...ummm..what? They want to keep the shelves full?? And no, I did not even come close to buying all the Sure they had. So I asked if we could just ask the mgr what he thought. The manager just looked at me as if I was crazy when I asked if it was true I could only buy 1!!! He said I could get all I wanted and that he would ring me up himself!

I wish corporate had uniform, universal guidelines that every employee was trained in before they hit the sales floor. It sure would save alot of frustration.
I had a new AM tell me today I could only use one coupon for an item in my entire transaction because if the coupon wording "one per transaction". I was trying to be logical with him, explaining it in the right way, but he wasn't having it. Right then a different AM came by and said HI to me, so I grabbed him up and had him tell the other fellow how it works. The first AM didn't want to believe this guy either!
He finally ran them all through with the old, tired attitude of "I'm doing you a favor here".
Oh ya, he said that the manufacturer's will demand PROOF that their coupons were only one per purchase. I almost laughed out loud on that one.

Yep, I was very nice, but it sure was frustrating! Although I must admit it was the first time I have ever really had a problem at WG's so I guess I'm lucky.

LOL! I'm finally learnin' that you cannot mess with a man's cornflakes!

I have several Wags that allow 2 q's with bogo sales & now I have one more. I didn't tell the AM he was wrong when he refused, but told him it was entirely his decision since corp allows management to decide these things...after explaining it was allowed at other stores I frequented & why.

Cornflakes intact = overage on Bic Soleils.

Apparently they think we're getting too good of a deal. :frown: I have 2 stores that no longer allow IVC's with ManQ's. Not because they don't get reimbursed, but because "people are getting too good of a deal."

It's really sad that some Wags see it like this. You would think it would please them to actually sell stuff. :shrug7:

Yeah that is what I thought too. If it was not for these good deals I probably would never step foot in a Walgreens or RiteAid either for that matter. Oh well. I just have to remember to smile, smile and smile some more.
