Default walgreens is proving VERY interesting

I am glad i finally dipped my feet in to the walgreens pool. though as i am sure some of you have read my end of the pool got peed in a couple times! LOL it is certainly DIFFERENT. is it my imagination or does it seem like
1)walgreens does NOT really care too much about customer service?
2)they really have no idea what they are doing with RR?

just seems that way to me about the above 2 things. LOL
    on the PLUS side
I have really really added to my stockpile. christmas is looking GREAT for things for my own family and extended family but also for donations i will give to local shelters and salvation army. and then still have plenty left over for US for the year.

i really do wish walgreens would get it together though.

thanks to everyone in this forum i have learned a TON, laughed occassionally, and i just really appreciate this site for teaching me how to handle new stores and thier policies before i go in the door!!

I have a love-hate relationship with WAGS. I get some good deals and then next thing you know I can't get any good deals and run into rude checkers and swear I am never going back, but then another good deal comes along, and I just have to try it. I get a few of them and then run into another problem and wonder why I came back. And then they come out with a $5/20 on a double dip day, and I get a cart full of free stuff again so I am hooked until the next problem with a RR. It's ridiculous. If they would quit giving me all these good deals I would stay gone for good. Customer service is not their strong point at my stores. Plus there are not any close to my house so its not like I can just run over there anytime. BUT I just keep going back!!

My store is wonderful. I would invite you to move out here but I don't want the competition.
I can't be done shopping, I still have coupons left!!!

I couldn't agree with you more! And I can certainly relate to that "warm spot" in the pool! Oh, but don't forget about the 3rd "rule of thumb" with wags....it seems they all (cashiers, managers, assistant managers, district managers even) make up the rules as they go. Not to mention, making them up on a day to day basis! I swear I think some days are better than others!

I'm in MO, and my store is excellent! Everybody is very helpful and they go "above and beyond" for the customer. I hope you find a coupon friendly cashier or manager! You may need to "train" them about coupons. :)

In Mass., I have some stores that are NOT good, and some that ARE good.

I LOVE the store near me at home, but HATE the one at work.

I bought a toy to put on top of ds's b-day cake at WAGS the other day. One item, one RR. She scanned the toy then immediately scanned the $4.00 RR, and it beeped. I was distracted by my kids so I was not paying attention to what happened. She handed the RR back and said, "You can't use this because you did not spend over $10." I told her that was not how they work. She kept trying to argue that you have to spend over $10. I finally glanced at the little screen and noticed she had not hit Total yet. I told her she needed to hit Total and then it would scan. She then got rude and told me she had already hit Total and that had nothing to do with it. I asked again if she would please hit Total and then scan the RR. She finally did and surprise-it worked. No $10 minimum required. Talk about making up rules as we go along. Sad that I know how to run the register better than the employee.

So yes it is a love hate thing for me.

I am just getting started at Walgreens too. For shopping that is. I am cracking up reading your entries because we have been getting our prescriptions filled there for a long time. Now the Beauty Consultant is helping me in the pharmacy I thought she was just helping out but it's been a few months! I hope the pharmacist doesn't try to help me with coloring me hair;)
