Sounds like everyone needs a new calendar - today is only the 26th. Good enough reason for me that they wouldn't put out an ESR book that doesn't start until the end of the month.
Why does WAG hire people who have NOT got a basic high school diploma?
I live in a LARGE metro area. I have 5 WAGs on my daily/weekly routes. I went to my work WAG today. The New ESR books were not out. Asked cashier. Response was doknow. INSISTED she page mgr. He said: Book NOT start until 9/31 (????-30 days has September, April, Jun…..I learned this in GRADE school). INSISTED he go get me the new book. Pointed out the PRINTED dates. Response was: Oh yeah. He reluctantly gave me one but NO new books ESR were put on the racks. Same at my closest to home WAG but I did NOT have the time/ patience to deal w/ another DUMB cashier or mgr.
I wonder how many other people were told this “fairy” tale. I wonder how many potential customers walked out without buying ANYTHING (as I did).

I don't get your posts. They are soo insistent & demanding. Do you NEED the book right now? Is it life or death? Doesn't the rebate period start on Sunday? Can't you wait a day or two for the book???
And before you start bashing workers w/out high school diplomas, take a dose of your own medicine and reread your post. Its full of grammatical errors.

Well, in fairness to the OP...the ESR book does start on Sept. 26th not on the 30th - shown on their own website. Maybe he/she wanted to take advantage of the double dip deals and therefore needed to use the IVC's from the book. If that's the advertised date, then it should be available for customers
Not saying that I agree with everything that's in the post...but can see the frustration. I know many established people who don't have or just have a high school diploma, many of which are wiser and and more successful than a lot of college grads I know.
"JUDGE NOT, LEST YE BE JUDGED”
I can't comment on whether the ones they hire here have diplomas or not but I do know it is hit or miss with the employees knowing their job, that's for sure. But unfortunately that is the case everywhere around here.I think it is less that they are uneducated and more that they are too lazy to learn their job. I spent many years in retail ( some of the them as a manager) and it's hard to find people who will show up and do the job they are required to do.
You get what you pay for.it's hard to find people who will show up and do the job they are required to do.
I always ask the cosmetic people...they seem to have a much better grip on things than your average clerk.
Have List --- Wish List: Any Lipton $/1, Lucky Charms/Cheerios $/1, CVS 2/10 or 3/15, Petsmart 3/15, will trade for stamps/postcards.
Book is dated starting on the 26th so they should be out but does not mean that they are. I usually just ask for the book and if they don't have it/want to give it out, I just check back.
However, to assume someone does not have a high school degree b/c they don't meet your expectations, it not a fair or polite assumption. I know some people who did not have a high school degree (my grand and great grand parents, for one) who were very successful in their lives and it had nothing to do whether or not they had a diploma.
My philosophy in life: Don't sweat the small stuff and it is all small stuff; treat others as you would like to be treated, and most of all, deals come along all the time and if you don't get this one, there will be another one.
