LOL I had your same reaction. I have a Longs about 10 minutes away from me and was happy to hear they might be bought out by CVS. The closest CVS is probably 150 miles away :(

From a business standpoint I suspect CVS will up the ante on the merger deal. They have such little presence in the CA market and the value of the existing Long's store sites is just too juicy to pass up.

Let's hope so anyway. I'm WAG'd out and want CVS too.

This is exactly what I'm hoping CVS sees. I live in the San Francisco Bay Area and the closest CVS is in Modesto which is, in heavy traffic, about an hour & 40 minutes away. There's no way I can do that when the price of gas is so high in CA.

I agree...We NEED a CVS in the SF Bay Area. I already have 2 Wags within 2 minutes of my house a another Wag 10 minutes away. PLEASE CVS bless us with you presence so that we might stop being jealous of those that get the Great CVS deals

Wow! I didn't even know that CVS was gonna buy out Longs. Agree with everyone who wants a CVS in the Bay Area--I'm also WAGd out. I'm soooo jealous of all the deals/steals that I see from CVS and I want to be a part of it too.

I live outside Sacramento, and I am tired of Wags. I am with you all too - I want a CVS! I am visiting my SIL and looked at her CVS ad this week. It is so much better than Wags. I want to play with those ECBs too!
