Walgreens ~ Good Deal: WAGS-FAR Storage Bags - UPDATE 8/16

Last week my store told me they were expecting some more this week. I was there today after their truck came, and they didn't have any. They sometimes get a second truck on Saturday, so maybe I'll go back tomorrow and check again.

I guess I hit it lucky. I was able to get both bags but I went early.

I went to a store in a bad area and found 5 of each bag plus they had all the other FAR in stock

I asked him today and he said they still haven't received the substitute item. He thinks that they will probably do a "raincheck rebate" that would be an addendum to September's ESR.

The two walgreens I frequent most don't have the large bags in stock but I was able to get two at another walgreens a little further down the street.

To think that I saw both sizes at my store early in the month (the overlap days I think) and I passed them up because I wanted to wait until I had some rr to convert to cash or a $5/20 coupon to use.

It is kind of sad to think that free + 10% isn't good enough for me anymore.

I picked up the last large bag ($5.99) this morning. Was shocked to even see one on the shelf!

Ok, most of my local Walgreens are either out completely or just have the $5.99 2 packs of small bags left.

But at one Walgreens they had different ones there in all 3 spots tagged on the shelf for the old ones so maybe those were the substitutes? I went ahead and bought one of the "Jumbo" ones since absolutely no one had any of those. Hopefully they will work for the rebate. They rang up $9.99 and were the exact same dimensions as the one for the rebate except they were in a box. They are made by "Original Space Bag Storage Products" and UPC is 7 31810 65400 7.

Just updating to confirm the this $9.99 one did go through for the rebate so it is indeed the talked about replacement item. They also had others for the other $5.99 sizes but haven't tried them but assume they will work as well.
