Not sure that this will be uniform across stores, cities, states - but last time when my total dropped below $25 (by like 35cents) - the Q came off (adding back the $5) even though she had scanned it first. The clerk told me that the computer was programmed not to take it if the total was not correct. I had never seen this before. I bought a candy bar which gave me more than $25, she scanned the Q again and it was no problem. Not sure if others have experienced this or not.

This has happened to me on quite a few occassions.

Is a Register Reward considered discount or method of payment?

A RR is a manufacturer coupon.

i know it says AFTER ALL COUPONS but what happens if you give this one first?

The $5 is added back on and the Q is cancelled/voided by the register.

I'm pretty sure the last coupon said that it had to be $20 after all coupons and THEN they'd take off the $5. I didn't think the $5 coupon was part of the ALL coupons. I'm basing my plans off how it worked last time. If it needs to be $25 before the coupon, the I probably won't do the deal.

No, it needs to be $20 subtotal after all coupons and discounts (before taxes).

I've not been able to take advantage of any of the other $5/20 that Walgreens has put out for one reason or another...this will be my first!!! Yippee!! I already had my shopping day planned for Thursday anyway. This just makes it that much better. I'm so excited.

I noticed that too, the programmers did a good job on catching that. it does add back the $5 if you go below the minimum requirement. the cashier isn't suppose to push it through if the minimum goes below. I'll keep them out of trouble

I'll stick with the FAR items with no coupons and buy axe bodywash to get movie tickets as bonus.

Eisor - That was fast! Thanks for posting yor scenario - I am going to have to work on mine - I have to incorporate FORMULA into mine.

BTW for those of us who buy Formula - remember that a formula check is NOT a coupon. It is a form of payment. So your total can be $20 - then give 5/20Q = 15 -$5 (Simlac check/Enfamil, NGS). Thanks to all who traded formula checks with me recently - I will be sending you lots of positive thought tomorrow when I am stocking up. This could not have happened at a better time (+ I get paid tomorrow).
