During the CLAIM REBATES option, an error message …

“An error occurred processing your request.

...

Please try your request later.”

I have done a print screen (screen capture) of this problem (error message) since today (07/05/2008) is the deadline submission day for Walgreens’ June 2008 rebates.

Q) Anyone been in a situation where they were not able to do an online rebate submission before the deadline?

I am guessing the screen capture (saved as a file) about the error message has some leverage.

Or maybe calling Walgreens during business hours and them accepting the rebate over the telephone.

Wow.. that's not good at all... I would email or call CS and see if they can do anything I guess... sorry I can't help but hoping you get it submitted..

Did you already enter all your receipts? The system will automatically process your request if you entered your receipts already.

No that was not the case.

I did notice that Walgreens changed their password policy.

My password does not have any numbers in it and now, if you want to create a password, it must have both characters and numbers in it.

The fritz cleared up and I was able to submit my $5.99 (Calcium chews) rebate.

I got 1 of 3 receipts in finally late last night.
I'm the ultimate procrastinator so I guess I will be making a phone call to see if nothing else if I can at least get that one loaded on my gc, didn't even get to choose.

I believe it says that if you don't submit it before the end of the rebate peroid its ok that they will automatically submit on the last day for you. Which is nice but if you forget to enter a receipt in then it kinda messes that up.

Once you've done the online rebate once or twice, you'll figure out all the kinks. I'm in one of the initial test states, and it took me a bit to figure it out- simply because it made no sense to me that I shouldn't have to click "claim rebates online" when I wanted to enter receipts.... (duh!)- now I've got it figured out and I enter my receipts as I get them, and just review on the last day or two and submit. The beauty of it is, if I forget or am busy and away from the computer, the system automatically submits on the correct date. I also keep a small binder with all my rebate info/receipts etc in it. That helps me to keep up with everything a little better. HTH.
