WAGS-L'Oreal Vive Pro B1G1 FREE - July (YMMV)

This worked without a hitch/flinch for me tonight. I figured it would since the shelf was pretty close to empty. I only had 2 Q's so grabbed my 4 bottles and the cashier was swift in putting it through all for FREE!

Grabbed a 14oz packet of Dark M&Ms and use my 75c/1 Q. Had to treat myself for saving on loads of shampoo/conditioner. :hectic1:

Wouldn't you only need one IVC if you were buying two of the same items? That is how it worked in the past. The one IVC coupon applied to both items, giving you a discount on both. (Unless, this changed when they added the "manufacture coupon" to the fine print of the IVC.)

So, you would need:
4 b1g1 coupons for the Vive that is b1g1 at store...

I take 8 bottles to the counter = $0 (in my state, I will pay tax though)


1 b1g1 coupon for Sure deodorant + 1 $1.50 IVC (would cover both the b1 and the g1)

I take 2 deodorants to the counter = (don't know the actual price of the deodorant)

2 b1g1 coupons for the Shick razor + 1 $2 IVC
I take 4 razors to the counter = (don't know the actual price of the razor)

Please correct me if I am wrong.

You were absolutely correct. So, not only did everything go through just fine but the very nice cashier dude also informed me that I only need 1 IVC coupon!! He did not get flustered at all and this is what I got:

Hmmm. My Wags said I couldn't get them for free. She said she could give me half price on the sale price so she took off 2.49 for each coupon. It works out to 1.24 a bottle. Should I just return it ? I won't get my q's back, but it sounds like this type of deal will happen again, and maybe by then I can find a store that will honor the get one free part of the manu. Q.

Was "she" the manager? If not, I would take your receipt back and ask for the manager and explain how the above is incorrect and ask for the rest of your money. If the manager says no (or if she was the manager), I would return them & if you bought them today & take them back tomorrow, they will still have your coupons - and I'd ask for them too.

Four would equal three free bottles from the computer systems end. Two bottles should ring up at $0.00, and two at $4.99, minus one $4.99 B1G1F coupon = three free bottles! You only pay for one bottle. LOL. . Sounds like flawed store logic.

Was able to do it at one of my stores with a little hassle. They didn't want to at first, but when I explained the logic of they pay for the one free and the man. pays for the other, they put it through!! Used the poo and cond and I love it, so I'm going back for more!!

Boy, "YMMV" is sure right!

I normally don't shop at Walgreens but figured I'd give it a shot this week since I have 2 BOGO Q's for this product. The cashier told me "oh you don't need this, it's already on sale BOGO", and I tried to explain the logic of using coupons during sales... she called the manager over to verify... well the manager told me he would not accept them because it would be COUPON FRAUD to try to get 4 items for free, that it's cheating and that the store wouldn't get reimbursed for the coupon! Inside I was quite offended at being falsely accused of a crime - in front of my 5 year old, no less - I know what coupon fraud is, and that ain't it... but I kept my cool and told him, OK, no problem, I'll just wait till next week when their competitor across the street has the same item on sale, and will take my coupons. I mean really, accusing customers of criminal activity is not a good way to keep a customer. Meanwhile I have contacted customer service about it, so we'll see what happens.
