I didn't wanna end up wasting my coupons so I just tried 2 bottles to check it. I brought 2 bottles to the register,the assistant manager rang them up, gave me the total and I handed him my coupon. He tried arguing saying I couldn't use it because I can't get both of them free. He said you have to "buy" one to get one free. I said "I am buying one. This manufacturer's coupon is for the full price of one bottle. The manufacturer will be reimbursing your store $4.99 so in effect, I am buying one bottle and am entitled to the other one free. I wasn't being *****y about it, I was just explaining it to him how it would work. He scanned the coupon and said "That'll be $0.35 please." I paid him and left with 2 bottles, one shampoo and one conditioner. I'm planning on returning tomorrow and getting as much as I can since I have 19 coupons left and I'm not sure if my CVS will have enough stock to cover it next week. I'm gonna take my receipt with me incase I have any problems with the cashier. I can just show her that the manager accepted my coupons last nite. Hopefully it'll work. I think they only had like 6 more bottles on the shelf.

tried using 1 bogo coupon.

Cashier said I was taking advantage of the sale and her director told her I couldn't use the coupon? If this isn't right I will call and complain. I am sick of being coupon blocked at Walgreens!!

go talk to the store manager, not an assistant, but the store manager.
Not sure it will help but maybe he will understand that you did try to purchase 2 so your coupon should have been honored.

I was so excited about going to WAGS when I went to bed, I couldn't sleep. I waited until they opened at 7 a.m. to go. I got my Loreal shampoos (I was so tired, I accidentally grabbed two shampoos, instead of 1 shampoo & 1 conditioner). Here's how it rang up: The first one rang up at $4.99, the second one rang up at $0.00, and the cashier scanned the coupon, the register asked for the coupon value, she entered $4.99 as the value, and I came out without paying a dime, not even sales tax for the shampoos!!! Yipppeeeeee!!! I figured it was going to cause a problem, but it wasn't a hassle at WAGS for the first time EVER. Well... except my 3 for $1 Scotch tape coupon wouldn't work, and my 5 pack Papermate mechanical pencils rang up at $1.50 each, and the coupon didn't come off when the cashier scanned it (system doesn't recognize coupon). So, I went out to my truck, added everything up, and, of course, it didn't come out right. I went back in, informed the cashier of the error, and the manager manually entered the pencils at $0.05 each, so ($0.15 + tax), and $4.61 went back onto my debit card. SHEEESH!!! That was close! I could've driven all the way home and been out $4.61 over $0.15 worth of product. I am glad I caught it, and I am glad I drank coffee before I went.

I just moved to a new area and I am going to try some of the deals here today or tomorrow. I have already made freinds with the Store Manager, as he thinks our site here is awesome.

Yeppers... I consider it a good trip, except I wish I would've bought a L'Oreal conditioner in place of one of the shampoos. Oh, well. Next time I will try to sleep before I go. I don't know why I get so excited... :shrug7:

The school supplies are definitely a good deal to get in on. I bought some of the supplies at WAGS and some at Staples, as Staples also has some really good deals on school supplies if you have one close to your house.

I'm not sure if it is the same at all WAGS, but I was in there today doing a couple of deals and I saw that the Loreal Vive Pro BOGO sale was still going on through July 26th. Good to know if your local CVS is out of stock this week.

Yes, my WAG also said it's through 7/26...

Which might actually be great because the August book starts 7/25...and there's an ESQ for $1/bottle.

WOW! It's something else using these coupons. My first experience was great! So, I decided to try it again at a different Walgreens, and the manager did not let me use my VIVE coupon becuase I was already buying one getting one free. I told him the other Walgreens down the road ok'd it. He didn't care. Then I told him B1G1 free is a Walgreens promo, but the coupon is a mfg coupon not a walgreens coupon. He was taken back but then held his ground, so I left. I went to 3 other Walgreens and they all said no.

What is up with that?

And after reading some of your comments, turns out every Walgreens is different, so what is the real scoop?

Now, CVS has VIVE B1G1 free this week, I will try then next.

I was excited about my first purchase but the other experiences were not good. oh well.
