My WAGS in Appleton, WI took the Loreal coupon with no problems. All I paid was 25 cents sales tax! I agree with an earlier post that explained the logic this way. On the store sale bogo the store is paying for the free one. When you give the cashier the MQ, the manufacturer will be paying for the other one, because they will reimburse WAGS.

My friend just called because she was trying to do the deal. I am teaching her couponing. Anyway they would not accept them and said they had a letter from corporate telling them not to allow the use of the BOGO coupon. She said she asked to see it and they showed it to her. Has anyone else got the "letter from corp" line?

I told her wait til next week and go to CVS, even though it is 30 min away.

Does Wag even understand they will lose business? If they become anti-coupon I will no longer shop there. Now my oop is usually low but they do make all the money that the coupons paid for!

Ok. The manager rejected the coupon all together. When I asked her why....she said that "it didn't feel good or right for Wags to give away the shampoo for free." She went on to tell me that she is the manager and she can make any kind of determination that she feels fit.

Reject. Does anyone have a corporate letter pertaining the BOGO policy with a BOGO coupon?

This is my first post here, but I think we should tell stores about B1G1 logic:

Bottle 1 - 4.99
Bottle 2 - Free

They intend to take in $4.99/ 2 bottles for their sale.

Now if we don't use coupons, they get $4.99 from us. If we use b1g1 coupon, they get $4.99 + .08 from MF. Either way, they still get what they intended to get for the sale. I don't understand why they give us such a hard time.

Does this make sense or is it a losing argument?

I called corp. was told that they are following the manu. rules. So I called L'Oreal. At first she did not think it should be a problem, but then said she would double check. Came back and said the coupon says purchase required. so this is why you cannot use the BOGO on a BOGO because than you are not purchasing anything.

Now I didn't know if this is splitting hairs but if we are walking out of the store with the product aren't we purchasing it?? :shrug7:

I got 6 bottles today (plus a 50c Welch's juice drink for DD) for $1.40 (90c tax). The cashier didn't bat an eye when the total went from $16.xx to $1.40! Yay for nice cashiers, LOL.

Yes, I was very fortunate. I bought 2 newspapers and went to Walgreens. I got 2 shampoos and 2 conditions for $0 oop.

It felt so good! I had never done that well with coupons til I found Jane4girls' blog and this site.
