Default Anyone sign up for the WAG Prescription Savings Club?

So... I was reading on another coupon site and someone pointed out that you get 10% credit on all Walgreens brand purchases.

The membership in the program costs $20 for the entire year. So - if you get 10% on WAG brand purchases - you would only need to spend $200 on WAG brands to pay for itself. If I am doing math right (I believe this is BEFORE coupons, the brochures say before tax) - if you buy 34 pkgs of diapers you'd pay for your membership. Crap - I've already bought 15 packs in 2 days and haven't even gone to 1 of the stores in my town.

The brochure they gave me at the pharmacy says 5% though...

It does say you can cancel within 30 days for a full refund.

SO here's my questions:
  1. Is it 5% or 10%
  2. How do you use your "credit" that you earn?
  3. Does it take the PRE coupon price to figure your credit?
Anyone know the answers? I thought I'd give the number on the pamphlet a call tomorrow and ask some questions. Thought it might be easier if someone already knew though...

FYI Re: Anyone sign up for the WAG Prescription Savings Club?

I have it. You get 10% back on Walgreens brand products. When you checkout, you give the cashier your savings card (at this point they usually get this stupid look, because they've never seen this kind of card before and have no idea what to do with it ) & they swipe it to add the credit to the card. The next time you purchase Walgreens brand products & they swipe your card, it'll give you credit for the amount you have on the card and add the amount from your new purchase. I'm not sure if there's a way to "save" the credits over a period of time or not.

I've tried to log into my acct to see if the 10% is based on pre-coupon price, but their system is down now. HTH!

Sounds like a pretty good deal if you purchase a lot of WAGs brand products.

Can you use the credit on NON-WAG brand products as well? I mean if I earn $5 in credit from buying $50 in WAG brand stuff... can I pay for non-WAG brand stuff with the $5?
