I just called them up a couple of weeks ago and asked them to hold 2 for me. They had no problem in doing that and I just went through the drive through to pick them up! Haven't used any yet...but I will I'm sure! Probably doesn't hurt that I get my prescriptions filled there. Thanks for the heads up on the book...I didn't know about it until I read it here.

I listened to the whole presentation by the pharmacy tech and told them I would have to think about it, but could I please have the coupon book as promised. They say they have no idea what I am talking about. My pharmacy has always been good to me, but I don't know if I want to continue doing business with them if they do not follow what they are supposed to do. Makes me think they would not mind shafting me on something else. I may just go to another Walgreen's and see what happens.
Have those of you who have joined the club to mainly get the discounts found that it was worth it? Have you made up for the $20 plus investment?

Thanks so much for all the info on this site and in this thread. Your hard work is appreciated!

I have saved over $20 so far, The diaper deal did help, but if you buy walgreen "w" brand products it will add up fast. This month the Walgreens filter FAR would put 69¢ on it along with the light bulbs another 20¢ so there is 89¢ already. You just have to decide if its for you or not.

One Walgreens by me has a sign when you walk in the door that if you ask about their Rx club then you can get the coupon savings book. That one was easy to get. I tried this at another Walgreens and the pharmacy workers had a hard time knowing what I meant till I described it more to them, then when they knew what I meant, they offered one to me.

One real question I had for them was can I get loratadine (generic Claritin as an Rx so I can get it cheaper than OTC and I will be paying out of pocket for it.)

Target is $3 cheaper every month for Trinessa...and no flat $20 fee. So there is now way it's worth it for me. :(

I only get my Rx's at places that will give me gift certificates for transferring so I don't get Rx's at Walgreens. Walgreens around here doesn't do that and doesn't take competetor coupons which is a real bummer because I want to start shopping for free at Walgreens with their rebates combined with coupons and sales. The whole thought of needing to pay to be in a club to get a good price on an Rx in my mind stinks, but I will continue to enjoy their other sales and hopefully soon jump on the rebates. It will be a bummer if I can't combine the diaper coupon in this book with a diaper sale.

The coupons in this book are only good on regular priced merchandise, no sales.

I finally asked for this rx coupon book today when I went to pick up my rx. The pharmacist asked me who my insurance was through and when I told her, she said I couldn't do that program. I asked if I could get the coupon book for asking about it and she said I couldn't because I couldn't do the program. I told her that I could get the coupon book for asking about it, because it says so in the ESR catalog. She said, well......okay, yeah it does say that and plopped it on the counter like she didn't want to give it to me. My rx total billed to insurance was over $830, so I don't see why she wouldn't want to give me a $50 savings coupon book lol But I finally got this rx book that everyone keeps talking about :)

I was not aware, until today, that they keep the coupons when you use them. I have used them several times, and they always gave them back to me when I asked. I thought they were like an ES coupon. But the store manager explained to me that loss prevention had emailed all the stores, telling them that the coupons are a one time use deal. I am so bummed. I guess I'll have to go to the pharmacy and ask for another book. UGH!

I asked for one the other day and the pharmacist was all "possessive"..."Can I ask how you heard about these?" she said while holding the booklet...."Ummmm....I dont remember, why?" She said they are only suppose to give them out to people inquiring about the WALGREENS SAVINGS CLUB. Later on I went to another Wags and asked about the savings club to test my new knowledge and I DIDN'T GET ONE! I even said, "don't you have a coupon booklet to give me for asking about the savings club?" she said NO!
I have 4 Wags in my town and one of the stores had a manager who didn't even know what these booklets were - or so he said! WHAT IS THE DEAL???
