Default Re: RX $50 in great savings books

I got one from the pharmacist and it was expired, so I guess it can't be used.

They ARE free, if you look in the back of your July ES, it clearily states.... "Visit the pharmacy to see how much you can save and get $50 in coupons, just for asking!" I went back to pharm, inquired about plan, and asked for my book, the pharm tech said you had to join in order to get the booklet, then i showed her in the ES it said all you had to do was ask, so she gave me one! I realize it does state regular price items, i was using this w/o knowledge of that on sale items, however have sopped, but, they did ring on the reigster, and the cashier's were excited about it for me... so what's so wrong about it?

Because the Coupons plainly state "save Xxx off our REGULAR price"
it doesn't matter if it scans or not, the deal is off regular price, not clearance, not sale.
Just because something works doesn't mean it is right.

shouldn't the burden of making sure their regulations are followed fall on them? IMHO

Well that again is not the point here....the point is, if you use a coupon in a Fraudulent Manner than YOU are in the wrong also. The wording on the coupons MUST be followed in order to within the guidelines of the Manufacturer coupon and Store policy.

I agree. Also, posting about using coupons in a Fraudulent Manner is against the rules here at HCW and can result in warning/infractions. This is part of the user agreement we all agreed to when we joined, and could result in being banned from HCW. So, it's really not worth it, is it?

Not exactly... when people take advantage of the system, it hurts everyone. Then Wags stops offering things like this & CVS starts cracking down on things like stacking and using one card per household, etc etc... so in the end it's not really worth 'sneaking' a coupon through when it'll cost everyone way more a couple of months down the line.

Not to mention that it is coupon fraud and makes ALL couponers look bad.

We play by the rules here. We have a good thing going here and it's just the right thing to do.

I am by NO means trying to do anything fraudulent, the MANAGER of the wags I went to is the one who scanned the coupon and was impressed by how much I saved, He being the manager I would hold his word to be true, and it was ONLY on the red packages they were getting rid of, so maybe the reg price had changed to the lower price b/c they were phasing them out, I'm not sure, but I'd like the hostility toward me to drop, I'm not out trying to commit fraud! That is a serious crime that I want no part of! Thank-you
