Default Walgreens Green Bags

Has anyone bought any of their Green Bags for .99?

I am quite a fan of them for their strength. Okay, and price. I have one with about 30 pounds of coupon inserts in it & that baby hasn't even lost a thread!

Anyway, I bought another one here recently, but I noticed that the gal put the "green bag" inside a plastic bag & gave it to me. Oh the irony!

I picked one up during 'earth week' and tried to use it a few times, the cashiers kept either putting just a few things in it and then using plastic bags for the rest (even though there was PLENTY of room still) or they would put the stuff in plastic bags and then stick it in the green bag. Now I just use it as a picnic supplies bag so we can grab and go.

I have four I use at Kroger each week though, you get a .03 credit for each green bag you use. I need to pick some more up, four's not enough unless it's a very slow grocery week.

Kroger will credit you no matter what bag you use, i take walmart reusable bags, home depot and kroger all the time- my kroger gives you 5 cents for each bag i have. I keep about 15 in the trunk of my car

I'm actually crocheting one this week out of some nice yarn I have on hand. :) Go green!

What a HOOT that they would give you a bag for your bag and that it would be plastic. Gotta love it!
