FYI -

What I was told by my very coupon-friendly manager regarding the BandAids deal and others. If it's a coupon (like the Reynolds Wrap is), you can use the $1/1 for each box and just have to come up with a filler.

Because this is a sales price, you can only use one coupon less than the amount of boxes you are getting. For example, you buy 10 boxes, you can only use 9 q's. Because it's a sale and not Wag q, the register won't allow you to go over the amount for that specific brand. Make sense? It did when she explained it to me, but I don't know if I'm explaining it well enough.

That would explain, though, why an earlier comment was made about the first 2 q's going through fine, but for the last box, the q beeped.

Anyway, that's how it was explained by my manager and she loves q's and deals.

IME, they've always just adjusted down the last coupon. So, if I buy 10 boxes, they put through 9 coupons and the on the 10th one, they adjust it down. $1.00-$0.10 ($0.01 x 10)=$0.90 So, they'd put the coupon through for $0.90. I'd get everything for free and there would be no overage.

Yes, this description is exactly how it works at my Walgreens. I like it when there are two different values of a coupon out there. (Recently: 6 chex @ 0.99 = 5.94 and 4 $1/1 + 1 $1/2 = 5.00 so 6 chex for 0.94.)

However some people report using coupons over the the total price of the items without any beeps or adjusting or anything (as long as they have some other product to absorb the overage) and at my Wags I used to be able to. Maybe it's a change to registers that's occurring slowly as systems are upgraded. :shrug7:

So now I just hope everything 99 cents is a 7 day coupon and not a sale.

Yes, that's the way it works here also. BUT, as a couple others above have said, if you have a lesser value coupon to use along with the $1 ones, that works with no beeps. That's why using (9) $1/1 and (1) .75/1 on (10) boxes @ .99 each works with no beeps.

I am SO SO SO SO upset. I didn't look at my weekly ad today until I got into my store today. I always go by the online posted one here on HCW. I had my 30 band-aid coupons ready and couldn't find the sale in my ad. Sure enough, it isn't in my ad. WHAT????? I have never had this happen before. Anyone else not have the band-aids on sale?

Now I have 30 coupons that I can't use. Well I guess I can use 20 with my 4 Target $5/5 and still get them free. But the other 10 I will have to use for trial sizes or retrade. Plus I paid for these from a clipping site. UGGGHHH!!

I Have been using my $1.00 coupon's on the .89 cent foil and I get an overage every time so I am buying zip lock baggies and I also have $1.00 off each of them too.. so it is 3 foils and 2 zip lock baggies total was $7.67 minus $3.00 for the foil then minus $2.00 for the zip locks Total was $2.67 plus tax and I bought the zip lock baggies that had 24 inside they had a bonus 4 bag..great deal for me ..

That's exactly what do now. OR I just have them price adjust the coupons down the the item price (I.E. .99 Band-Aids) to start with.

It's just an easier way to handle things, especially with grumpy cashiers

And, NOTHING BEEPS that way
