I'm still new to all of this and have not tried anything with rebates as of yet. I have a question for all the pro's. According to the taylortown preview there is a $30 off Breeze 2 or Contour Meter in the 6/1 ss insert. Would this be the rebate they are talking about in the upcoming ad(I think it's on page 14) or a coupon. If it is a coupon could you use it and still receive the rebate. It is not a ESR rebate but a mail in, in the box. Still confused by all of this, if anyone can help me out I would appreciate it.

I've read reports that if you use a coupon which makes the meter free, your rebate will be denied because they will see you paid $0. This is often not true for other kinds of MIR -- but I've read about this happening with glucose monitors.

I suppose you could use the coupon to get the item for free then try the MIR and you'd only be out a stamp if you are denied, but I am pretty sure you will be denied so personally I would not bother. However, note that I am not speaking from personal experience, so take my comment with a grain of salt.

I figured that it would be denied, but I was curious. I may still try to use the coupons to pick a few up and donate them to the local Caring Center. I had gestational diabetes with my daughter(lucky with baby number 2 coming on June 17th) luckily my insurance covered cost. Not everyone is so lucky, maybe this will help someone in need. Thanks.

I was pleasantly surprised that about 3 weeks ago I rec'd my Breeze rebate for the full amount.

***edited to add - Never mind. Rebate is not the same size as the sale size. :frown: I guess it would be 2/$8.50 with the hangtags and MQs.

waglreens doesn't carry HE, at least not in my part of the woods.

If your WAG has the Hershey's MegaMovie marked Twizzlers (mine has them on the rainbow ones), each of the Twizzlers has 3 points. They're on sale 4/$3 again with the IVCs. You need 15 points for one movie ticket, with a limit 4 per household.

If you ask for a rebate receipt it shows the full amount you paid for the item, and no where does it show coupon discounts. I only know this because I have 4 rebate receipts for the Huggies that were on sale last week. I'm sure if you submit for a MIR with this receipt you would have no problem getting your rebate check! HTH!
