Really... calling the cops? Seems a little extreme, do not know about anyone else, but if a cop came to me about a peelie I would offer him the deal and the peelie.

I know you guys are set in your ways and have your own mind reasoning what is right and wrong and nothing will change your mind, but this seems so wrong to me on many levels. It almost seems like stealing to me and isn't fare to the store or the people who shop at that store.
Makes a whole lot more sense now why I see items, many at times, with them missing.

This was my first time finding peelies on a product at one store that I could use at another store to get a better deal. I only took as many as I knew I could use (6 I think and to me that's a lot, to someone else maybe that's not a lot cause I've seen people post that they have taken like 20+) and believe me there were plenty more there that I didn't take. I chose to only take what I could use and I made sure to leave some for others. They are a manufacturers coupon so I don't see why they have to be used at that store, if they said specifically to be used only @ Kmart on them then I would not use them elsewhere.

Oh boy, I guess the cops will be coming to get me and my kids cause we go up and down the aisles taking peelies and Q's out the machines and using the Q's weeks later at the same store when there's a sale or at another store that's having an awesome sale!! If they didn't want people to take them they wouldn't put them on the product they'd put them at the register or customer service where only the store workers get to have them(aka P&G and the BigK)!! LOL!!

My goodness, before I started couponing so seriously, I would buy products that had coupons on them that expired in 2003!! So either that product sucked and no one bought it, that product's been there since 2003 and is seriously old or I was in an area where no one couponed that much!! Which tended to be the latter cause I could always go there doing a sale and the shelves would be full. So my take on this is if someone likes the product that much and wants the Q to actually use what does it matter where it's used at the company still got you to buy that product with that Q - mission accomplished!!!!

The peelie debate really has been beaten to death here.

I used to feel that it was wrong to take peelies, until a couple of things happened to me:

1) I met a lady who was working for a 3rd party, putting peelies on packages. She said that she didn't care who took them, the manufacturer just wanted them used.

2) One time there was a really awesome peelie at a store, and I wanted to take some of them but didn't. The peelies expired on the products and no one could use them.

Manufacturers can (and have) made peelies that say things like "only valid if removed by cashier". If they don't say that, in my book they're fair game as long as I don't damage the package taking them off. The peelies belong to the manufacturer and the consumer, and not to the store.

On the peelie issue...
I noticed at one of my grocery stores that they have rolls & rolls of peelie coupons stacked on their office walls. I mean big rolls like bigger than those large packing tape rolls so I wouldn't feel badly about taking a few off the product. Just use your own discretion, IMO. If you don't feel right about it just don't do it.
