I truely and honestly do not understand why stores are not liking customers earning and redeeming RR. These are sales promoted by their ads. They are manufacture coupons that are redeemed for face value from the manufacture. These deals should make the customer excited and happy to shop at WAG. When the customer is happy they shop more. WAGs is only shooting themselves in the foot when they deny the use of these coupons. | i was told 1 per trans per day... today though i did use a 6.00 & 3.00 in one trans ... i just keep trying they all seem to have their own rules.. i frequent 2 stores.. all are nice.. but you never know what you can and can't do.. like pp has said.. i would follow the rules if they would just make up their minds as to what they really are....

| | Re: 1 RR Per Day? Whatever... You know it is all so crazy to me. I did 4 transactions today using 4 different $10 rr without a problem. No beeps at all. I even used the P&G rr on Duracell which is P&G product which I had no idea until it rang up with that information.
Honestly the managers are not being consumer friendly and I would report them.

| | Re: 1 RR Per Day? Whatever... Since I was told 1 RR per day by the store manager, do you think I could get in to trouble by the store for going back today to the cashier that I know is nice and always does the transactions for me? I mean I know they will see me on the security cameras when they watch them and if the store manager sees that I went ahead and used more than 1 today like he told me not to.... well do you think I could get into legal trouble?
It is going to be such a pain to go back every night for the next 13 nights to use 1 RR per day... but I don't want to get into trouble and be made a criminal or something, what do you all think?
Just a note: I have never had any problems before at either store about redeeming me, I think the store manager is being a butt because I called the supervisor so I think it is retaliation. |

LOL And don't get paranoid on us, they are not going to watch the security cameras for you, if they do they have too much time on their hands.
I use more than one since the last RR deals, when corp came out with the email policy (search old posts), usually as long as you have as many items as you do coupons, RR you are OK, but give the RR first or you will get to the end of the transaction and the total due will be less than the RR and it won't take it. Ex. you have a $10 RR and the total due is 8.75 before tax. You cannot use the RR for tax here.
And to the other poster, don't wait to call, it only works against you with your complaint if you wait a week to call IMO. It gives everyone too long to forget what happened or get their story straight at the store, also if they review the tape sometimes they record over after 48 hours, etc.

| | Re: 1 RR Per Day? Whatever... Ok I just got a call back from the district office and basically she told me that the manager does not have the right to limit RR redeemtion to 1 per day. She did, however, say that with all of the misuse of the program and everything like that that the managers to have the descretion to limit certain things and blah blah blah (I didn't understand it that well). She also said they have the right to limit transactions done by a single person is there is a bunch of other customers and you are holding up the line with a million transactions because it isn't fair to other customers. But she made it clear that they were not limiting RR's to one per day, it is however 1 per transaction.
She also said that the whole program is under review because of a few people that have abused the program, the RR thing is probably going to be done away with very soon, these are her exact words. She said that it is getting media attention and making it hard for the cashiers because they don't know what to do.
She also said that particular store manager that keeps harrassing me and the district manager and a bunch of other managers were in a meeting this morning and that the issue with me specifically and the 1 RR per day has already been addressed with them, so hopefully next time I go in there he will leave me alone!!! |

| | Re: 1 RR Per Day? Whatever... Good, they need to review their program and make some overall decisions about how it needs to be handled. The program is fine as long as they honor their own advertising language, evenly, across the board. But, it is obvious from all we see on this board that they aren't honoring what their ads say, they don't understand their own coupons, their cashiers are not properly trained, and they cannot understand their own RR language. If they can't get everyone on the same page, understanding that some consumers are going to use the program more than others, understanding that these consumers aren't doing anything wrong, not treating their consumers from their program like criminals in their stores, then they do need to discontinue the program all together. Why? Because it is false advertising, it is creating deals they obviously aren't aware of and didn't intend, it will get them negative media attention and lawsuits from various agencies for false advertising, and it hurts their image in the eyes of their consumers, to include us. But it is not just us, I have been there enough to see ordinary consumers have problems printing their RRs, I have seen other people have issues with understanding their ads, and I am certain that their managers and cashiers are all fed up and sick of dealing with it. Their registers are supposed to be fool-proof, so that the cashier can have confidence that if a coupon scans or doesn't scan it does so for a reason, so if an RR prints or doesn't print it is supposed to, and they don't have to worry about losing their jobs because some IT guy installed buggy registers that don't build confidence or work properly all the time, or print or not print when they should, or scan or not scan when they should. If anything, I would think the problem here is that the registers aren't doing what they are supposed to, and then there has to be management or cashier intervestion, when in reality, if their registers worked, they wouldn't have to worry about it. |

I would probably only go in once a month, get all the FAR, and not shop again until the next month when the new book comes out.
Why cut off your nose to spite your face? The RR deals bring in more shoppers and more manu coupons are redeemed so even if a few people abuse the system, they are still profiting. | | Thread Tools | | | | Display Modes | Linear Mode |
