I don't know how to ask this without giving a personal example. So I will try.
1. Specifically speaking about the RR that says "may not be able to use it on". If an unknowing customer asks an employee (multiple times) if they understand the wording. And then proceeds to use it on a Visa giftcard. Will the employee get written up?
2. We are not allowed to talk about "rolling" our RR into giftcards period, end of story? Or just the ones that say "Do NOT use on giftcards...."?

I don't know. Each store seems to have their own rules. 2. We are not allowed to talk about "rolling" our RR into giftcards period, end of story? Or just the ones that say "Do NOT use on giftcards...."?
I think for now it is best not to discuss Rolling RR onto giftcards, reguardless of what the RR says untill we get some sort of clarification from Walgreen Corp.
I called again today reguarding this situation, still no answer. I will let you all know as soon as I hear anything.

| | Re: Register Rewards Talk So if the Walgreen's Coupon says not to be used with any other offer, why do the majority of posts tell you that you can combine it with a manufacturer's coupon?
If the Walgreen's coupon say Limit 2 per coupon, why do we inform everyone that it will take $x of each item, to use the coupon on more than the limit specified?
If the RR says limit one per purchase, why do some say my Walgreen's will except multiple?
Do you think that the manufacture expected for coupons to be sold and customers using multiple coupons (yes I know that you are paying for the cutting service, not for the coupon).
I'm not trying to cause trouble, but I think everyone might need to hire a lawyer to get into heaven.
Food for thought, with a coupon I hope. |

P&G uses this promotion to hook me on Charmin and Olay and then makes me go out and buy Cottonelle and Dove?? Go ahead, use your RRs to stock up on diapers, as long as they're not Pampers?? Got some heartburn from all the stress? Better buy Walgreens Omeprezole, not Prilosec?? What kind of business does that to themselves?? |

Food for thought, with a coupon I hope. | I received an email a few months ago from corporate which stated clearly that you can use as many RRs in a transaction as you have items. (well items that you are not already using a coupon on that is). |

So what we have is:
1) What someone in corporate said.
2) What the manager said.
3) What the cashier said.
4) What the coupons say.
5) What the customer says, but not allowed to discuss.
I like what a manager at CVS said to me:
If the register scanner accepts it - I don't have a problem with it.
In our age of automation, they should program the registers to do what corporate wants. If we leave it up to interpretation we can have irate customers, which in the end hurts business.
Just a thought. |

P&G doesn't stop you from buying their products nor recommends buying other brands with the rr...they are just not going to pay for it. The $20 rr is really intended to be a 1x thing...not 45 transactions. They don't forsee those that are going to "roll" the catalinas.
For probably 98% of the customers, that $20 rr is exciting and they spend it and go about their day.
This isn't about the manufacturer not wanting you to buy their products, it's about them wanting to still make money. |

| | Re: Register Rewards Talk My one $10 RR specifically says that it excludes P&G products. I'm not talking about rolling. I'm talking about using an RR that P&G is going to pay for. I would think they rather pay me to buy their products than somebody else's, but their wording specifically excludes that. Quote:

| | Re: Register Rewards Talk I have a lot of catalina's from this week and I went to 4 different wags yesterday and they all told me something different. One store said I could use as many as I need to on the transaction, another said I could only use 1 per transaction, another said I could use all my small ones but not a $10 one (that was weirdest). I'd just liek a straight answer because frankly it's embarassing to get to the register and be deinied my transaction, or have anxiety in line wondering what rules this particular cashier has. It's not fair to the consumer and I wish walgreens would just lay out some cut and dry rules. | | Thread Tools | | | | Display Modes | Linear Mode |
