My DM freaks out if we have more than 4 complaints a week as a district, his heart would stop if it was 4 a store. maybe you guys need to call corporate office on poor service. I would not be unreasonable because corp does not give us the rules of the program, and it does look like you are losing money when someone comes in and clears the shelves but only pays 1.00 or something crazy. I look at it like this wag is getting the coupon money and RR money from somewhere or they would stop the program. because they are about making money. if it goes through the register then it must be ok. i have stopped some customers because they are breaking the coupon rules. but be honest and fair and you will have no problems at my walgreens. |
I go out of my way to be fair and always, always polite when dealing with cashiers, the rules on these promo's are often confusing for employee's as well as customer's. I even went back into a WAG's after a troublesome transaction to show the cashier where she'd made a mistake(she pushed the same coupon thru an extra time) and I paid the $5.99. I also will frequently share good coupons with my favorite cashiers and have no problem asking managers if they'll order large quantities of things I want a lot of. Most of them are more than happy to oblige and very pleased to have my business.
Btw, having stated all of the above, let me also say that though I can understand somebody having a bad day and that people don't get paid much to put up with anywhere near the garbage customers can dish out, I will not tolerate being talked to or treated like some sort of thief for using coupons in a legit and honest manner. I don't get loud, I don't make scences, I do however make darn sure to save the receipt, get names if needed and express my unhappiness to corp.. not by phone, not ny email but via a typed letter, sent to them via certfied mail. A store where cashiers grab coupons and tear them up, where they mutter profanities
and other such abuses is a store that IMHO is very poorly managed and in need of serious care and attention. My certified letters get stores that much needed attention ,corp listens very closely to such letters and the subsequent transfer of an entire family's RX business to another drugstore chain. |

| Re: Register Rewards Talk--UPDATE So, I received my first RR last week and tried to use it on another purchase with a coupon. Obviously, I was denied. No explanation, just that I could not use it. I was confused because I thought they worked liked CVS ECB's. Then, I got on HCW and read all 10 pages of this thread.....wow....my head was hurting. I decided I would just avoid the frustration and either throw away my three $1 rr and shop at CVS.
But, I decided to go to WAGS one more time and look for something that I needed or wanted that I did not have a coupon for and that I wasn't trying to work a good deal.
To my surprise, I found something instantly!!! Now for you HCW veterans, please forgive this newbie trying to share something I discovered on my own and I thought was a "good tip".......I used my $1 rr on the Sunday paper!!!!!!!!! I was so happy it worked. No hassel, something I could always use, no extra calories......
I hope this helps someone out.....I find everyone's suggestions on here so helpful.
Have a great day everyone !!!!!! |
