Question about the Beauty Counter at Walgreens - Page 2

I was wondering why I was seeing items with stickers that said check out at the beauty counter! Now, if there was ever anyone at the beauty counter. I visit two different WAGS on a pretty regular basis and NEVER see anyone at the counter!

The BA's might be stocking items or helping a customer. I've never seen a BA just standing at an empty counter. They're always busy. I find them easily in the first couple isles of the store and let them know I'm ready to check out. Always friendly and helpful. Of course they do get to take breaks!
Also, one store I go to opens at 7am weekdays and the BA is not usually scheduled until 8 - 8:30. Beauty counter not always open late in the eve either.

Wow! I just thought they were being nice! I like going to the beauty counter anyway. As was said earlier, they're always helpful with the coupons, etc.

wow, i'm impressed. last week when i was in i picked up the bio-organics, the pert, the chemistry and revitalift before i gathered all my other stuff and she told me to come back and check out with her and that she could probably dig me up some q's. she did find a few that i didn't have or that were of better amount than mine. i knew something was up. she had her own binder and everything.
i think she was more impressed by me though: total before q's 109.xx after q's 15.xx.......and i had 65.xx coming back in rebates.

Wow I guess I am in the minority. My worst wags experience ever was at the beauty counter. Maybe it was because I wasn't buying any of the items she would make money on. I have not used that check out since then but maybe I will try it again if the same woman isn't working.

I don't like the beauty advisor at our branch. She has an attitude. One time, DH checked out through her eventhough we didnt buy any beauty stuff. DH used q's for the TP and we were also hoping we'd get the RR's. She told DH we cant get the RR's if we use q's and my DH just took the q's back. However, it still didn't generate RR's hahahaha, so she called the manager. She then told the manager when manager asked he what the prob is. She said "The favorite concern of customers- Register Rewards" with a big huff and rolling her eyes right in front of us. When manager gave us back cash for the RR's we didnt get, she asked DH if we have other coupons she can use. DUH!Later on, while we were about to go out, she told her coworker that if someone is looking for her, to tell them "She's cleaning the restroom which wasn't what she's looking forward to do" with an ugly expression on her face. She told that in front of many customers around. So no, I dont check out with her anymore, and I dont think she really cares bec she's not friendly.

I went to WAGS for the first time in over a year last night. I spoke to the girl who usually works the Beauty counter, who told me that she and the other lady who work the beauty counter, "hoard" the coupons in a book. She said the reason they do that, is so that people will come to them for the coupon and hopefully check out at the Beauty counter, so they can keep their sales quota up. She told me that as long as it isn't busy, and I always remember to check out there, she will let me peruse the big notebook. I can't wait...

weird- the BA's at my store seem to be the most clueless about coupons and aren't usually very nice at all. I check out at that counter a lot because I had heard they got some deal but didn't know what it was.

I sent a letter to corporate about how helpful my BA's are. I hope they get a copy in the store. They really do help me out, and are accomodating with all my coupons.

Why not send a copy to the store too, just in case it doesn't trickle down?
