LOL!! I had a similar situation when I saw the light blinking on the cat machine. Of course it didn't print out a RR and the manager blamed it on my coupons. I begged her (literally) to check me out at another register to prove it had nothing to do with Q's. She finally agreed and of course out came the RR. The look is priceless!!

My $5 cat didn't print the first time, either. The pb didn't scan the correct price, and when the cashier did a price override for 1.66 each it made me come up just PENNIES under 15.00. Only thing the catalina machine spit out was an ad for the coupon. So, back to my poor nice little WAGS mgr (he is really very good about fixing things for me) and he rang it all up without overriding the price, watched the machine spit out my RR, then voided the transaction and handed me my RR. What a sweetheart! He is the same guy who wrote my raincheck for the brush heads last week - wrote down "5.50 sale but free after reg rewards" and told me that he wasn't sure how it would work but that he would figure a way for me to get them free even if he had to price override it to zero! He's a keeper!

I also tried the deal with the Bertolli and the RR didn't print. I had told the cashier beforehand that it probably wouldn't. She got the AM and explained it to him. He said it was because of the coupons...

So, I asked if he would ring the transaction again without the coupons, and of course he did, and saw that the RR still didn't print. He looked over the ad, then rang up a transaction with all Skippys, and it printed the RR. He gave me that one in place of the one I didn't get.

Then, I asked if I could do one transaction with all peanut butters, or was there a limit. They said they had plenty in stock, and let me do one, so I ended up rolling the Oral B RR into this one.

I'm very pleased with my Walgreens staff!

I bought:

(3) Ragu (original)
(3) Skippy Peanut butter (creamy)
(2) Hellmans mayo (regular)

I used a $1.00 coupon, and (2) .40 coupons, so my total came under $15

No problems with the RR printing.

Not free, but I was out of mayo and literally only have a spoonful of pb left!

I just got back from WAG's, I bought 2 Bertolli and 3 PB's. I pay using 2 free Q's for the dinners... no catalina printed, I had 2 cashiers singing the ït must be the coupons" song, they called the assistant manager.. he looks over my receipt and my Q's he joins them in singing the coupons song. I was polite but insisting it wasn't the coupons... down comes the manager himself, now I know this manager likes to gamble so when he starts singing the ït must be the coupons" song too I asked him. "Do you wanna bet that it's the coupons?"

I told him, ÿou ring my order again,this time without coupons, if a catalina prints, I'll pay cash for the order, if the catalina doesn't print, you owe me
my original $5 catalina and an extra $10.. you can put it all on a gift card.

LOL,he was soo confident, a couple other employees garther to watch the big boss. He voids the order,rerings everything... all eyes are now fixated on the catalina printer and....nothing printed!

lol, he laughes, says Ï should know better than to argue with the shoppinqueen, and he hands me $15,saying "I know you'll take this $15
and turn it into $100 worth of goods,thankfully it's in my store"


I hit the endcaps, scored a boatload of gillette Fusion hydrasmooth shave gels that were marked down to $2, I had the $1.50 Q's, also got a couple bottles of Lóreal visible lift foundation that was marked down as "last chance" those were $3.29 each!!

an excellent,excellent evening at WAG's and one in which I feel solidified
my position as a smart,savy but honest shopper who only use's legit Q's
and follows sale/promo offer rules.

It is Definitely the Bertolli.

I was at 2 different Wags tonight - got mayo, tea, and pb at one and got my RR (and lots of catitude from the cashier) - got bertolli and tea at the other one and no RR - mgr was nice though, I explained it to him he verified my order and gave me $5 cash.


[What is it with Walgreens - these two were not my normal store and both times I got issues from the cashier. My first times ever getting attitude about using coupons and trying to get a deal.]

When I was in the store yesterday, I planned to buy $15 worth of just skippy and Ragu, a total of nine items at 3/$5, but the ad says skippy 16.3oz, and the regular sized jar of skippy on the shelf (and looks like in the ad picture) is actually 18oz. I got nervous that the catalina would not print, and abandoned the sale. Has anyone done this deal with the skippy and Ragu and had it work?

The skippy NATURAL peanut butter was 16.3oz on the shelf, but I would rather have the regular skippy for my kids if possible. I just don't want to deal with the hassle at the register if it's not going to print.

Ok, so just got back from my Walgreens and bought 2 Bertolli's and 2 containers of Breyer's ice cream...no catalina printed!! I thought it was supposed to be fixed?? I had 2 $3.75 coupons for the Bertolli's but I thought that didn't matter?? No luck and no Dixie Ultra at either of my WAGS today...BAD DAY!! What number do I call to get my $5 catalina??
